I have a local that doesn't move the 1Q lines so I do a TON of scalping between them and Pinny. A lot of times it is a scalp/middle combo. These are all on 1st Quarter lines.
Example of straight scalp:
Sixers +4.5 +118 (local)
Mavs -4.5 -110 (pinny)
I would say about 50% of the time I end up getting a scalp/middle together.
Example of scalp & middle:
GS @ Suns o59 -110 (local)
GS @ Suns u59.5 +113 (pinny)
Obviously I play every one of these I can find (why not right?). THe question I have pertains to the cost of middling in the event the juice isn't positive.
For example:
Lakers -1 -110 (local)
Rockets +1.5 +107 (pinny)
Nuggets/Celtics o53.5 -110 (local)
Nuggest/Celtics u54 +108 (pinny)
3 things...
1. I play all scalps I can find
2. I play all scalps/middle combos I can find
3. At what cost should I be playing the straight middles? I've hit 2 scalp/middle combos in the last week!!! Now I'm trying to evaluate the risk/reward of taking on the straight middles. Where is the breakeven point?
Thanks for any insight.
