Trying to complie a list of the biggest morons/idiots of 2006 for my blog. They have to be from sports and have done something or have been doing something that was so pathetic, bad, ugly, or dumb that we can call them morons.

Here are some examples I thought up already...

Lindsey Jacobellis - she was the one that was about to win gold the Winter Olympics but at the last jump, in women's snowboard cross, she pulled a trick and landed on her ass. She came in second.

USA basketball & USA baseball - Another year of not finishing 1st.

Terrell Owens - I think we all know why

Floyd Landis - Wins the prestigous Tour de France and then gets busted for doping. Blames everything in sight.

Zidane - Headbutts and gets kicked out of the World Cup finals.

Ben Roethlisberger - For not wearing a helmet which riding a motorcyle.

The referees in Super Bowl XL - Now I know this goes both ways, judging from the debate that heated up after the game. I still think they were horrible

I know there are more obvious ones and hoping you guys can help me add to the list.

How about the US marksman who got a bronze instead of gold because he shot at the wrong target? All he had to do was hit the right target to get gold.

I second that, and Matt Millen should be a fixture on this list. I wonder how Calvin Johnson will look in a Lions uniform?

#1 NO DOUBT!

Just the most brutal bomb and waste of a #1 pick when there were plenty of better/impact players that could have not only helped the team tremendously but sold ticktes, generated interest. Instead they are one of, if not the worst team in the NFL.

TRADE THE PICK if you werent going after Bush. Just trade and accumulate picks.

Yes how could I have forgotten the Houston Texans front office??

ChiTown, okay maybe they're not morons for getting beat. Maybe they don't fit this category as well as others.

Larry Bird (G.M.) and Donnie Walsh (Pres.) of the Pacers organization. They are ruining a good NBA team at a quick pace. Ron Artest, Stephen Jackson were and are disasters. Trading Al Harrington and then trading back for him a year later..c'mon guys!
