Smith will go somewhere late in Rd 1 or early rd 2.

Brady Quinn will go before him , that is a given.

Troy Smith goes #1 in the draft:

Yes +800
No -1200

And then no still might not be high enough.

everyone said the same thing last year but out of nowhere mario williams goes 1 instead of bush. the combines play a huge factor in the pick, i would keep troy smith open until then.

That is true to an extent but Smith's size will keep him from going any higher than mid 1st rd...I like him a lot and feel he's already a better passer than Vince Young , the bottom line though he's short for an NFL QB.

NO way troy smith goes #1. He'll get drafted but they might want him to play receiver.

LOL- he won't even be the top 2 Ohio State players coming out IMO.

If WR Ginn comes out he will probably go higher , also DT Quinn Pitcock who is a true stud will certainly go above Smith.

Is Quinn projected to go higher than Smith strictly because of 3-4 inches difference in height? If so, that seems a little crazy imo.

Size, arm strength, accuracy, height, ability to adapt to pro-style offense...the list could go on. I can't possibly see Smith go in the 1st round, but who knows? I think there are 4 QBs that figure to be more fitting the NFL game than Smith. Not to say he can't make it, Vince Young has proved arm and accuracy aren't everything.

If that were all true, I'd have no problem with taking Quinn over Smith, but watching them play the past two years I have my doubts on who has better arm strength and I definitely think Smith is more accurate. Plus the ability to play his best on the biggest stage. jmo of course

Sorry but that's total BS. There were about 1/4 of the commentators who were predicting Mario going over Reggie, as well as lots of people on this board. Mario was not a complete surprise, "out of nowhere." Smith going #1 wouldn't be either, it'd be an earth-shattering shock...:realtongu
