I can talk to Skybook Dude and see if they will allow us to do it. I think many could not afford the dime but if we did it at say 2or 3 bills we may get a better turnout. We could start with say Xmas eve game with Hawaii and AZ St. Thoughts?
Paterno said:I posted numerous times about a post up bowl contest. Last year, the contest was very popular and entertaining.
SportSavant said:there is still time to do a POST UP contest which may include all the games Jan 1 and later.....
perhaps we could ask people to select the side and total for each of the games between Jan 1 and January 8, there are 11 games during that time, so it would be a total of 22 selections.
does this sound interesting to some?
I think if we start with the bowl games of december 24, that it will not give people enough time to get moullag together.
Paterno said:I wasn't taking a shot at you or Rx. I was just saying it seems interest has been lacking lately. I think this just could be due to Christmas approaching. The Jman post up CBB contest had lots of interest but not many followed through with it.
SS-Thanks for putting together the fun contests. If you do put something together, I am in.
CalvinTy said:SportSavant, I never got chance until now to mention thanks to all the work you do coordinating all those contests that seem to pop up on a weekly basis (if not every few days!).
I find myself wanting to join many of those but end up not doing so for one key reason: knowing that I don't have accounts at many books and I don't like the disclaimer of awarding only "1/4 of prize" if someone is not active at that book during that time period. I understand the reasoning behind it because it's not fair to posters who are truly active at that book as the book is giving an opportunity to loyal players.
It just is a disadvantage to small-timers (I still consider myself small-timer as I dont make nickel or dime bets unless scalping/arbing and only having two active books at this time) even if my bankroll is still growing so I don't enter many contests. I wouldn't want to steal the full prize from fellow RX posters if I win any 1 of those via a tiebreaker (if I didn't enter, then someone else would have won the full prize).
Just mentioning my 5 cents' worth as it's just business practice but oh well.
