That is a horrible trade for Philly...how can that be true?

They want youth and there is no youth in that trade besides draft picks.

Philly will get 2 first round picks, PLUS they have their 1st round LOTTERY pick.

Philly just got much younger.

Miller is a top 8 PG and Joe Smith's contract will give them cap room to sign a top FA this offseason. Two first rounders will give them youth.

I think it's a great trade for both teams.

I think it's a gret trade for Philly. Andre MIller is a very solid point guard. He's not young necessarily, but he's only 30, he should have several years left. Joe Smith mostly just a salary add-on. But 2 first round picks is huge. 1st round picks are gold. I think they did well.

Two 1st rounders would make more sense. When I read the first post I figured both picks were this season.

Andre Miller is a good friend of mine and a great player. I was devastated at how it turned out with him on my Clippers. He will make the players around him in Philly better, that's for sure.

Joe Smith coming off the books at the end of the season will be great for them.

A much better trade than what I first thought.

Makes sense to me, Philly doesn't care about this year obviously, they want a good chance to get Oden imo. Iverson and Melo together will be interesting once Anthony gets back on the floor.

I am so Much in love with this trade that I believe The SIXERS WILL COME OUT OF THE EAST or is that too optimistic ?? !!! Yipee !!!

Oh yeah the sixers will also Have To do without Ivan McFarland !

The 2 draft picks are for this year. Denver had 2 for 2007 first rounders... I think both teams made out well.

This draft is supposed to be solid and now the sixers will have a lottery pick +2 first round picks as well as a cap space to sign a decent FA to put will Miller.

Yes, this is an excellent year to have three first rounders. Shrewd move by Philly, but they aren't going anywhere this season. And they know it.

King deserves a lot of credit for holding out. He was patient and his patience paid off with Denver getting into a more desperate situation than Philly.

Of course the #1 pick in this year's draft will truly be like winning the lottery. And then some. Any team that trades a sure lottery pick is out of their minds. Just the chance to hope to land Greg Oden is worth a fortune.

I remember when Dre led the league in assists (around 12 a game) with Cleveland when they use to let him dominate the ball. They sucked ass...but he was one of the elite players in the league.

I still can't comprehend what happened with him when he came home to the Clippers and they had Odom, Brand, Maggette, and Q Rich...that was the most exciting year ever for me when they landed him. Then it turned out to be the same old Clippers...

I know Clip when they had Odom, Brand, Maggette and Q Rich with Miller. I thought this team was a semi-decent center away from a mini-dynasty but it all blew in their faces. Was Sterling the Scrooge part of the reason this core never stuck together?
