Both put up great numbers but only 1 ball. I say AI 26.9, Melo 26.1. Might create some interteam turmoil. Will be a good team though. Best 1...2 punch in the NBA. (Shack and Wade, tough come playoffs, as Shack takes his reg season sabatical)

Ehhh, actually I think the averages may be reversed.

I doubt that there will be any interteam turmoil. Basically this is put up or shut up for Iverson here and he is going to be all business to win that championship.

Iverson and Melo have played together in the Olympics so there is the familiarity factor.

The last shooter Iverson played with was Tony Rutland at Bethel High.
Can't blame him for taking the shots when his teammates sucked.

I think they both avg 28 plus, and Melo's average will stay above 30...

Do you guys remember when Jimmy Jackson and Jamaal Mashburn were an incredible scoring duo with Dallas? That team was terrible but those guys were filling it up. Anyone know what they averaged? I can look it up...

I think Anthony and Iverson will each score a ton because Denver will still run and gun. I don't think they will be a good match though.

Found it...back in the 94-95 season:

Mashburn - 24.1
Jackson - 25.7

Yep...he was a rookie.

It was the only season in his entire NBA career where he averaged less than 8 assists. That is a pretty amazing stat considering he has been in the league 13 years.
