6 year friendship seems to have run its course.

Do you
a) just stop contacting each other; or

b) make one last contact to tell them what you enjoyed about the friendship, memories, and maybe an honest evaluation of their strenghts and weaknesses before wishing them a good rest of their life

Kind of debating right now.
Any advise would be helpful.

stop contacting him if you really are positive you don't want to be close with him/her ever again.

I would go with the B option here because the thing is you don't know what the other person is thinking. That other person may think that everything is going well in the friendship.

If you have been a friend for 6+ years than you have shared a lot, personally it would make you seem like an ass if you just stop calling them

People sometimes just start to have different desires, goals, likes and dislikes and move on from where they were from when they met.

Call them (no email or text messages) and let them know whats up.

In that case stop calling.

Damn good catch J-man. I didn't see that at all.

No man looks at strengths and weaknesses in their friendship with another man unless they were lovers (not that there's nothing wrong with that).

Probably because you don't officially end friendships with your guy friends. I go years not talking to some of my old friends, and then when we get together its just like old times.

Women are a complete different story.

yea, because with dudes you can get sick of them, but then see them a while later when you're drunk and have a few laughs.

But bitches can be so damn different.

I say don't do anything and let whatever happens happen.

The best way is they way I hope your parents told you. Be honest as to why. It takes balls to do it but you will feel better in the end.

Maybe after you say what you really feel it might not end.

I was the one that intiated the contact. Last repsonse I got was that she was very mad at me, and wanted to wait unitl she calmed down so she did not say anything she would regret later.
But it has now been a while.
Wondering if I made the LAST and final contact (B) or just let it go.
I think I would feel better with a final wrap up to the friendship.

Sorry to hear that Assassin, I think you should just go for it and have the last say. It definitely makes you feel better emotionally.

Just a hunch...and a little logic.

I have this problem a lot!

And the more you act like a jerk the more they want to remain friends , it's amazing..I use to be the nicest guy and got nowhere now I just act like I don't care and can't get rid of them .

:ohno: Skinsraj may be interested in taking her off your hands.
