Does anyone take this mindset when watching a game you have action on?

In order to avoid stress, I tell myself definitively, I will only feel good when my team plays well, but when something bad happens, I will have no negative feelings.

I think this works.

I'm so numb to whatever happens I don't get too excited one way or the other. 38 years of doing this betting thing can do that too you. Other than the Sunday games where I lay in bed watching, or at the PC to get scoring updates, I hardly watch the SNF, MNF games at all.

Sounds good... But I prefer screamin obscenities (sp?) at my teams when they play like assholes...

LMAO I try to not get to emotional. The wife will always know when I got money on the game.

I start out every game thinking its a loser, I keep telling myself over and over this is a loser. And when I win, it feels twice as good.
On a serious note, I don't mind losing a game if the team I have flat out gets beat, but I really get pissed when my team has stupid penaltys and just does ignorant shit, like running the ball down 18 late in 4th quarter or punt on 4th down when getting drilled late in the game on national television.

I go into the game with the attidude of "just let my wager have a chance"...I like to think I have a chance at anything I do...otherwise I would'nt do it...so there are times you know asap you are up a creek...and that pisses me...just a small hobbyist point of view...

The bet doesn't really matter. I place it and it wins or it loses. Once the bet is placed it is all out of my hands and the result will be whatever it will be. I'm comfortable with whatever the result so there isn't any point worrying about it.

great thread here by the way...I try to stay calm as much as possible, but sometimes lose it both ways...
