Good. I only like giving that many points with Iverson not playing. Thanks G. I might be comming to your side of town in a week or so. What's running out there.

TT....How are things out there....Espn Just reported CXL

I'm in Denver, too, like TT. It's pretty bad...not the worst I've seen, but still pretty crappy. I actually live downtown, about a 5 minute drive to Pepsi. Stuck cars everywhere - even some 4x4s are having issues. AI isn't coming in until tomorrow, and now they're saying that might be in question.

The governor & mayor are going to get lynched over this.

I spent 3.5 hours in this http://www.thedenverchannel.com/video/10578167/index.html all afternoon.

They KNEW that this was going to happen. They nailed the forecast last night, there was a f'ing blizzard warning scheduled to start at 4am (as of last night).

What does the dumb ass mayor do? Decide to shut down the town at noon (after things are already an absolute mess).

Fucking idiot

TT...I actually like Hickenlooper a lot. Don't know if you work downtown or not, but driving home last night, I kept slipping on what seemed to be wet streets. Well, they had gone through the city laying down that chemical crap while the skies were still sunny (as you probably remember). I don't think it's a case of prep. CDOT has only 79 plows and every one of them is being used tonight.

and on another note...how many times have the news incorrectly predicted the weather here? You know how it is. Pretty harsh to blame Owens and Hickenlooper given the very unpredictable weather that happens here. Remeber March '02? Nobody saw that coming.

Yeah, they actually went "mag chloride crazy" overnight Monday night...lol.

Gotta love RTD. These worthless ass buses(no chains of course) are the cause of 90% of the problems on the turnpike.

I pulled about a 250 yard "ditch stunt" at the Church Ranch exit that was rather comical (I spent 3 hours between Federal & there & had had enough(this is about 2 miles for those of you who don't know Denver).

I hope they fine the living crap out of every one of these dumbasses who abandoned their 2 wheel drive pieces of shit in the traffic lanes on the highway. It's not like this was a f'ing surprise.

That's so funny. I take it you live upwards of the Boulder area given the "church ranch" exit"? Agreed...I work in DTC, but live downtown. I saw countless cars and especially buses stuck on I-25 and Downing as I drove into the city. What I find funny are the execs. i saw trying to manuever their BMW M3's through this crap. F-ing idiots! What'd they do...wake up in the morning, see the weather and deside, 'Yeah, I think I'll drive my rear wheel M3 into Denver. Serves them right. On another note, I've got a big crew heading to Blackhawk for an annual holiday party Friday...we rent a Limo...think it'll be okay by then?

Yeah, the f'ing buses had everyone literally trapped on 36. Sheridan? Bus sideways across the exit ramp. Same thing at Church Ranch, same thing shut down 36 EB at Sheridan. This is nothing new....why they don't put chains on the buses is beyond me-this happens ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!

Don't get me started on the DF's running out of gas on the highway.

The road to Blackhawk should be fine(wouldn't surprise me if it's in better shape that Denver roads right now).

BTW, the only thing remotely humorous about this debacle was seeing 4 different chicks get out and squat between cars to take a leak.

:lolBIG: Boy, that 45mph wind had to do a number on their poor cooches.

I was typing a reply to this, got a call from one of the guys going on the blackhwak trip, and somehow lost it. But, yeah, I was on Univ and Speer in Cherry Creek today and say the same thing!! Good stuff, especially in that pompus of an area! Anyway, don't think I'll be going to work tomorrow. TT, we've got a fun crew going to BH/CC on Friday night. Would be happy to scoop you if you have interst. Think we're leaving around 4:30, reterning to Denver aroung 11:00pm and hitting the bars. Most likely playing poker at the lodge - actually hate that place for poker, but it's the only place in BH with a decent restaurant. Prefer Mountain High or Colo. Station fore poker...

Thanks for the offer, much appreciated(and sounds like a hoot)! I'm actually locked into a going away party over happy hour Friday(that is surely going to be a plane wreck).

We should hook up for happy hour downtown one of these days (or a local poker games).

p.s. Did you see the article in the paper yesterday about them FINALLY trying to lose the retarded limits up there? That would actually make it worth the effort to get up there (but the CC Parkway is 10x better than the 119 deathtrap).

p.s. You have mail

"Or poker games"...talking bout the one's at the photo galleries, I supect? I hear you...yeah, read the article in the paper. Not surprising how this state, as Red as it is, will promote Xmas related $1 lottery tix, that pay max 4-1, but don't see the business (and subseqent moral) sense in raising the limits in Gilpin Co. over $5. Hopefully one of these days the powers to be will raise those limits, thus allowing more games such as craps and roulette (not that I'd play them). Higher limit poker (especially NL), I think would be a huge draw for the metro area to make the drive.

BTW, I'm a big time lurker...probably view this site more than many of your active posters. Being said, I checked my profole and had the correct addy..don't think it would have gone to junk based on my settings, but I'll look regardless. Hope you manage the snow. Right now, I'm wondring if I need to go to work tomorrow...
