What do they need to do to get in?

Im thinking that Chicago may let Green Bay win on purpose next week, hoping that Green Bay can pull off a miracle in the first round so they can get a bye all the way to the NFC championship game.

Chicago has no reason to win the game at all.

If I were them, thats what I would do.

Might put alittle something on the Pack this week.

Are you kidding me. The NFC should not even show up. They are a complete joke. They all suck compared to the top 4 teams in the afc.

that is incorrect, the following needs to happen.

Packers beat bears.

Giants have to lose at least 1 of 2 games.

Atl have to lose at least 1 of 2 games.

Philly would get the 5 seed even if they lose their last two games assuming all of the above happened.

Are you talking about Philly or Green bay.

If all that has to happen is the Giants and Falcons losing a game, then Green Bay is in the playoffs imo with a win over chicago.

unfortunatly no I dont :monsters-

Those odds are so big, you could probably hedge your bet with Chicago on the moneyline next week and still come out ahead.:puppy:

100% positive this is correct according to NFL .com

Philly 5 seed and GB 6th seed if above happens.

If the season ends this way

Philadelphia 8-8
NY Giants 8-8
Green Bay 8-8
Atlanta 8-8
San Francisco 8-8
St Louis 8-8

The way I read the tie breakers...the divisions with two teams in the race would eliminate one team before they proceed to interdivisional tiebreakers.

In this scenario, the two Wildcard teams would be Green Bay and whoever is not eliminated from the NFC East....

So, It seems, the Packers need either New York Giants to Lose two games or the Philadelphia Eagles to Lose 2 games and the Giants lose at least 1 game.

AND I think they may have left Seatle OUT LOL. (but haven't looked maybe they beat SF in div tiebreaker). LOSE TO San Diego, AT Tampa.

Looking at the GB schedule and who they beat. Best team was the 49ers. :ohno:

By my reading the Giants have to lose both weeks. If not the Giants and Packers would have equal common games records. Then the Packers percentage in "strength of victory", the next timebreaker, is absolutely horrible, the worst in football right now. Basically they are going to have to beat out other 8-8 teams on conference record or else they are screwed. Problem is the Giants would tie them with a 1-1 finish and the Eagles would tie them with an 0-2 finish. Atlanta is the only team they have a shot at, except for the 6-8 teams.

Stranger things have happened. I am not sure of the accuracy, but I read one of the ways Steelers get in is a win and this:

1. Jags lose last two games: home vs. NE and road vs. KC
2. Buf loses to either Ten at home or Bal on the road.
3. Jets lose to Miami.
4. Bengals lose to Denver.

I think 2 looks likely. Both 3 and 4 are road dogs. Only 1 might be tough. Really though hardest part probably will be beating the Ravens this week.
