Never was concerned about this because thought it wouldn't get into play. However, today's Skybook matchplay contest has a distinct chance (.30 imho) of making it to 3rd tiebreaker which is total posts at the RX. I've been posting irregularly for the last coup[le of years with most conversational posts on Sunday evenings and Sat mornings with .30 posts for contests. A couple of times over last 4-5 years, there have been site upgrades and some posters have had their totals reset while others didn't(I fit into this category) as seeing no need to have my total posts displayed for any real purpose.

Back in 1998-99, I was probably top 5-10 in posts particularly from fall of 98 thru NCAA hoops of 99 when Huskies beat Duke. Shrink and I had running debates on sportbooks that rounded wager amounts so that a 5 dollar wager would return 5 (in essence no vig) and some people submitting multiple 5 dollar bets to avoid vig as comapnies weren't too sophisticated. Shrink backed book(s) that overscrewed (eventually decide to keep all winning wagered money using this method) bettors while I was on other side of fence. My post total on just this matter was probably 500-700. Also, Shrink hired a softball goon from Vegas as a prognosticator(anyone remember) for games--he wasn't too good.

My point is that I've got who knows how many posts here since 98 and that someone's total posts is not too important. To attach such importance to a $2500 (not 100, 200) matchplay for total posts is a bit much. My .02

I am not going to go back into ancient history archives and recount posts from the 90's. Whatever number posts contestants have on their profile at post time of first game is the number that counts. I guess I will have to find another tiebreaker beside post counts for the next contest. These contests get more difficult all the time.

Object :

To win the $2500 Matchplay the object is to predict the total points scored by all teams playing NFL games on Sunday December 24th. Points scored in overtime count. Rollover rules apply.

Example: Total points scored by all 24 teams: 480 points.

Tiebreaker #1 predict what NFL team will score the most points and how many points that team will score on Sunday December 24th.

Tiebreaker # 2
predict what NFL team that will score the least amount of points
and how many points that will be on Sunday December 24th.

Tiebreaker #3 total number of posts here at The Rx. com as of 1:O5PM EDT on Sunday December 24th. (I am not counting any retroactive post questimates of posts that may or may not have happened before some software changes back in 2004. what ever amount of posts your profile reads TODAY at 1:05PM EDT is the total I will use to grade the contest).

Fine with tiebreak for contests thru today. Just making point that total posts not greatest of tiebreakers. Not asking you to go thru posts of 9 years ago--not even sure if you were around then.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Oh, and thanks for all the hard work yyou do here with the contests and moderating.
