my info is that Detroit will get the ball first no matter who wins the toss. throw in that for Detroit this is their playoff game and I see it 3-0 Detroit, 7-0 Detroit or 7-3 after one! this is a great one! and very ant public who will think the Bears starters will win the early part of the game and the others might lose it later...

the best play of the day just might be bears/lions over 2nd half....griese and benson will want to put up points and bears d will rest key players allowing lions easier scoring chances.

In the NFL, you CAN'T DEFER until the 2nd half like you can in college. If Detroit doesn't win the toss, they won't get the ball.

I was not aware of that. sorry bad info.

Did that change recently?

Cant a team choose to kick? then the other side chooses what end to defend?
