I got lead with7 left. $20k to win. Would cap off a decent year for me if I could get a top 2. I'm trying to avenge my Bengal's loss of yesterday, not to metion the Jets winning tonight.

Congrats, make sure to pay taxes on that score! OR in a few years, an auditor might just discover the win as well

I even get won/loss statements from online sportsbooks to try and offset some of the wins.

Do you also keep track of losses and off set them to winning when filing ?

I pay taxes on net income. I keep track of everything, have records for everything.

My $130,000 win earlier this month at the live tournament was at an Indian casino. Thus they take EXACTLY nothing out of the pot for taxes. So I will owe a good $35,000 or so from that. But I have saving all of my receipts including travel expenses. I will also get reports from sportsbooks as well. My problem is that I am up at quite a few sportsbooks this year

Please refer to this article in the FINANCIAL FORUM.............it comes with my highest recommendation in regards to GAMBLING TAXES and one that I completely agree with having paid taxes on gambling winnings the past 15+ years.

Nice article that I will definitely read later tonight. I havepaid taxes on my gambling since back in 1996 from back when I used to receive those damn 1099's from the dog track.

I did receive a 1099 from the poker win earlier this month, so that will be reported.

Later tonight I will post something that happened to a friend of mine who bets on the dogs and horses and he got audited 2 years ago. It is a good read, but I dont have the time to type it out right now. I may make a seperate thread just for that story in case more than just the 3 of us actually pay taxes around here.
