If You can fly out on sunday mornin and stay 4 nights you can get pretty decent rates plus you will be there for game.Did this about 4 years in a row and always had a good time.Flew out of Detroit Metro.7 or 8 years ago it was only 4 or 5 hundred apiece dbbl. occupancy.

you should try and get a guaranteed party invite to attend ...

If you are a green apple you might find it hard to get into one of these things or even find a screen to watch the game comfortably.

most hotels wont even admit they are having a superbowl party...(they might tell you have have a party..with a couple of conveniently placed tvs, but they wont admit its a superbowl party..:puppy:

Did it once, had a good time and all, but prices were jacked some, and way too crowded, but I wanted to do it just once, my G-men got croaked by the Ravens, I didn't even remember the 4th quarter. :drink:

if the weather is good and you dont have a lock on the party, go to the outside bar at harrahs early and you can get a great seat at the bar and see everything. the chicks are all over this place

Waste of time and a vastly overated exprience. You are better off coming for March Madness.

Problem is the NFL banned parties for a fee. If you want to watch the game in comfort you need to be a casino guest and gamble it up. Otherwise you get to fight with people for a seat at 6am and then blow off a whole day waiting for it to start. Used to be easy, just pay $25-50 and go to a nice party with food and beer included. Now the NFL says they can't do it, so we all are screwed by the NFL's BS.

Prices are a lot higher than average that weekend, don't make a mistake about that. The weekend before is half the price or less. Town does seem very quiet though for such a big crowd because the SB means high rollers, lots of them. These people tend to crowd the fancy restaurants and the tables. Table limits go way up. But they don't walk along the Strip much so the city doesn't feel as crowded as it is. Those who are out making noise, walking on the Strip and standing in line for the buffet don't want to pay the high room rates and avoid coming for that weekend.

WildBill and SugarBear,Thxs for the tips. Yeah the more I think about it the more I'm wasting my time to come out that weekend.I think I will save it for the 2007 Bash.Gravy

wish I could be there this year...will be the 1st in 5 years that I will not be there for the SB...gonna be there a week earlier for the Bacarat Tourny at the WYNN.

If you stay at the WYNN then you wont have to worry about the parties because there will be plenty and I'm sure since you go there often you get the royal treatment like I do when I go. Tell my host how many seast I need and they are reserve for ya...no need to hit a seat at 11 am just to make sure you get a seat.

My advice is simple ... Stay elsewhere for Super Bowl ! One stinking game and it is usually a stinker anyway ! Come out for opening weekend of March Madness and enjoy 48 of the most exciting games you will ever see ! There is always some RX'ers in Vegas also ! I've been doing it for about 20 years now ! Of course the last 5 years I've been living here.

That SB was the only one I spent in Las vegas, also. Was so crowded I literally couldn't find a space at 21 table at 7 a.m.! From now on will book my trips to Las Vegas away from crowded weekends like that and not just because its cheaper. Watched the game at IP Theater which was fine but better on just a normal NFL Sunday or MM.
Have to admit I won good-sized bet on ravens but could have done that at home at went to a better party a lot cheaper and easier!
