What is the relationship between Skybook and BetMANIA?

Big question: If Mania tanks and closes their doors, will Skybook take over all the accounts?

Does anyone know? Has Skybook made an official statement regarding this issue?

IS

That's a small family, since earlier brands merged.

Mod Edit - Doug, once again, please do not cut and paste from other sites.

Didn't they originally have the Rio Sports logo on their site?

I see it's gone now. Was this a ploy to gain the trust of bettors to open accounts under RIO's good name?

This question has been asked and answered many times, but once again:

The Rio name and infrastructure was sold to the Betmania group. They ARE NOT affiliated with Skybook.

Can we please move on? Beyond some sharper players complaining about limts, etc, there have not been any issues with BetMania, so I do not understand why they have been such a topic of discussion.

RIO name had to go, problems with RIO hotel in Vegas, much like Casablanca ( CBS) had to change to Wagerweb. I trust Skybook very much... not so sure about mania. I lost a dime to them, never went back, too many unanswered questions for me, and I'm liberal about books I'll use, I even play a bit at Royal.

OK, if you don't want pertinant info available, this wasn't like some unverified complaint, just who fell under the RIO group, nothing negative.

It was a simple question, and an important one to me as I have many dimes there. Did not think I would put you out by asking. Thanks for not being a prick about it.

Doug - What you posted is a good example of why we have the policy - the information is wrong.

We just don't feel comfortable with information from other sites being posted here.

Thanks

Is it wrong since John's site incorrectly identifies mania as part of Skybook ? So, mania is a stand alone, then ?

John's stuff is pretty accurate and useful, mostly. I use it often to see who is affiliated with whom. It's the best resource I have access to for that stuff, many might like to find out what books are related to say sportsbook.com ( a lot). I like sb.com, and play there, but I like to know who is related. It can be very useful when researching stuff like bonus eligibility.

Baus,

Sorry if my response was harsh, I assure you it was not directed at you, but at the subject. It is just seems like one of those questions that we keep answering.

As for your prick comment, I guess now I know what my kids are thinking when I tell them not to ask me for ice cream again!

Have a great New Years!

Thanks

It took an email from will to get my DELAYED $2500 withdrawal via Neteller. If I had not known about this site, I would still be waiting.

Bause, best get in touch with Wil if you plan on withdrawaling VIA neteller.

I was told it there are restrictions with Neteller, after I deposited. And that was after I was told Neteller is running as usual.

Steer clear from this mickey mouse shop.

Bigbet, to be accurate you could have had the $2500 very easily if you wanted to use one of the other pay out methods BetMania uses. I just want to make it clear that you wanted Neteller only and had already reached your Neteller limit for the week with a previous withdrawal. I asked BetMania to do you a favor and waive the one time only a week rule to allow a player to withdraw nearly double the Neteller weekly limit.

The reason there is a Neteller limit at many books is so they can keep their NT balance funded 24/7. Given the choice I would guess 90% of all funds withdrew would be by NT making for a lot of money going one way from the books that use Neteller.

Personally I think it is a good thing for the industry in general for funds to be be distributed both to and from the books by as many trustworthy methods as possible.

Also bad mouthing them after they did me a favor really helps me out a lot down the road with all the books. Rmeind me to send you a belated Xmas card.

Wil, first off they never told me it was their limit. CALI, the payment manager wouldn't give me a straight answer when I spoke with him. I asked him if that was their limit, $2500 per week via Neteller, and he said no, it's just a restriction they have some times. I was like, sometimes when? When you get beat?

It just wasn't adding up. Yea, they offered me moneygram, or ACH, but I didn't want that. And I also couldn't get a straight answer out of CALI when I would get my other $2500.

He told me maybe Tuesday/Wenesday. Told me to just try it and see if it works....I was like, ok, WTF.

Anyways, if you're a small bettor, i think will be find here. You beat them for any kinda money, and there are hoops to jump through.

They could be a little more clear on what type of player they want. IE. lowering their NFL from the 10K limits, and getting off don best.

It is beyond me why they offer 10 dimes on NFL, but only allow 2.5K per week withdrawaln by NEteller

AGain, thanks for the favor, if thats what you call being paid MY money. But that is my opinion of books that do this, and there are a few out there.

Neteller fees ( both ways) are a huge expense to books, many eat the 8.9% incoming for instant.

Not every book has the same deal for outgoing, I know this for fact.

Sometimes a proposal to a book to transfer it to another book is a win-win situation for all. I successfully did this a couple of days ago ( don't want to mention books). The from book has asked me not to say anything about them on forums, they don't want publicity, but all I would say is how great they are, the TO book has a banner here.

A transfer can work really well, no fees to anybody... just iron out the details, the books in question need a "sheet" with each other, they created one in my case, because I enquired about the possibility of doing it.

It was my first BTB ever ! There are ways to do things.

FWIW, Mania lists their Neteller max payout as $2500.

It says nothing about daily or weekly limits. It leads a person to believe that it's simply $2500 per transaction, like a lot of other books.
