I beleive by Federal Law, banks are not allowed to be closed for 3 consecitive days...so Sunday and Monday can't go into Tuesday...they will be open...

I think they open, why not ? They get Monday off, not like the holiday fell on the weekend.

I've heard that's a law also, makes sense... people need to be able to get their money.

So what exactly happens for Ford, flag at half staff, anything else ?

What closed for Reagan ?

Prediction, BTW ! Reagan to replace Roosevelt on the dime. They had Kennedy on the half dollar weeks after he was shot. ( replaced Franklin).

No surprise here ! Ever since Kennedy death the Post Office has taken a day off when the President or EX President dies. Day off with Pay for Postal workers and I believe other federal workers. However this has nothing to do with the closure of Banks ! Federal chartered banks will all be open.

seems about right to me, say a teacher and a garbageman pull down 35-40 k. I'm sure it's nasty physical work ( like construction), the teacher has perks like summers off. Teaching isn't known for big bucks.

You can't pay the garbageman Walmart wages, or the turnover would be ridicurous.

Nasty work merits higher pay. Seems to me those guys bust ass pretty hard. They probably ain't too edemacated on average, but they use their bodies to make money.

I'd bet a new man starts at like $10-12 hour, tops out at $18-20 or so. Pay $8/hour and I'd take Walmart over that.
