They say that about a lot of franchises. With the right moves it doesn't take long in the NFL anymore. With the wrong moves it takes forever.

As a Raider fan I was hoping I could have a chance to root against Denver getting in today, but with Cinny AND Tenn AND Jax losing it would just be KC instead so what's the point now.

Poor guy..that franchise is so messed up it will take Years to fix...

Agree Al Davis needs to resign and hire football people to get the Raider nation back to what it once was he is to hands on.

Brady Quinn will get killed same as all Oakland QBs this year. They need Joe Thomas so whoever back there has time to throw or their offense will continue to be horrible no matter how many high-profile skill players they get.

That's the worst part about being a #1 draft choice. Congratulations, now welcome to hell.

Al Davis in his senility will continue to go with Heisman winners - the Ohio State qb in Silver & Black next season

Been saying it for ages, there is no point in getting a QB until we sort out the O Line - failing that try picking up a late round sleeper with little risk while you sort out the rest of the team, if it comes off then great, if not then at least you didn't waste your picks completely.

For this sleeper I like the looks of Trent Edwards who should still be around by the 3rd or 4th round, if not much later. At least this is a guy who has been getting battered and bashed about all season with Stanford so at least having another poor O Line protecting him it shouldn't affect his development too much as he is somewhat used to it already...

If they real want Troy Smith he should be there early in round 2 when they pick again.

If they dont take Joe Thomas or trade down that franachise will never succede. Untilt here O Line is built up they will never win again. Draft Joe Thomas round 1, Troy Smith in 2.

Brady Quinn is a no-brainer. Guy will be great in the pros and you don't even need to play him the first year. in 2 to 3 years when they build the o-line the offense will be awesome.

When you have a QB with the potential to be great like Quinn you would be crazy to not take him. It's not like he's a risk like a running QB would be. This guys sees the field and knows the game and is N.F.L. ready because of his college coaches.

No lineman or running back is good enough to be taken over Quinn.

Didn't they say that a guy like Gallery only comes along every 10 years?

Just watch, the faders will screw it up again and take Brady Quinn when they have a potential starter in Walter.
