yesterday treble was a winner, only Shahar needed to go three.

Trouble continues for Myskina as she re-injured her big toe in yesterdays disturbing loss--went back to Russia, and may miss The Aussie Open. That woman is in freefall. Sad.

Scud appears to be quite focused for 2007, time's a tickin' I suppose. He's very optimistic that he can win on Tour again--impressive win over Tursunov at The Hopman.

here's what i'm on, today, yet another treble. Don't like anything from the mens side.

Petrova TO Li TO To Safina-- 1u to win .94u.......Petrova was dreadful in her opening match at The Hopman Vs Molik. Error and error and served terribly on her second serve. She should get things back on track here as Ashley is not on her league. Ashley doesn't have Molik's massive serve to give her freebee's on first serve...........Li looked sharp in her opening match, Castano did not. They met h2h a yr ago on Castano's surface of choice, clay, and Li destroyed her. Na has to improve her mental strength if she is to improve up the rankings in '07. She seems to have disturbing mental lapses where she completely 'falls asleep' out there, please none of that today.......Safina is the weak link in this treble. Power Vs Brains here. If she keeps her resolve Dinara should beat her compatriot. First matches for the year for either player. Strong decline yr was 2006 for 31 yr old Elena. Is she done?

lol, plenty of that today. Came out of the gates 0-4, also led 40-0 in the 4th game of the 3rd set to blow it. Kudos to Castano--you'd have to go back to Feb '05 to find her last quality win on hardcourt. Castano wins 6-4,1-6,6-2.

loss on the parlay

thks for chiming in gentlemen. You both have an uncanny ability to hit dogs, kudos to you guys. Looking forward to your picks.

At steaming hot Adelaide, down under,......

R Stepanek (CZE) over E Korolev (RUS)-- 1u to win .68u.......both these players have a match under their belts. This line is disturbingly low for a quality player like Stepanek. Radek , for the last two yrs, has been one of those players that 'wins the matches he should win'. A player you can have confidence in parlay usage. He's an aggresive player that likes to force the issue and runs to the net given the chance. Of course, much of his 2006 campaign was washed due to injury. If in form, no way this line is -132. Wedding bells soon for him and Hingis (possibly as early as a month, so 'they' say (what does Martina see in this guy? he's uglier than sin.....beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, I guess)......both these players like slow stuff--clay, hence this rebound ace surface should suit them well...........youthful Korolev's star is rising. He is a 'put on your radar screen' type of player-- a breakout season is possible. The kid is capable of brilliant tennis-- beating Moya, on clay at Barcalona and Davydenko late in the season..........These two have met before with Stepanek winning in straights. I think with the Spadea match behind him, Radek comes on top here pressing the kid with his attacking game. At this price, I can't resist........

thk you pal. Good win for Radek.

late post, sorry, the match goes off after the Peer/Ivanovic sportign war that's going on right now, lol.

this line is now off at 5d but still up at Pinny.

D Safina (RUS) over S Stosur (AUS)-- 1u to win .67u--some nice vibes for Samantha here at the Gold Coast, as she reached the finals in '05 before going down to Patty. She is Australia's finest female tennis player. She's difficult to break, solid serve, great doubles player too. She historically has played well this time of yr, loves to play infront of the supporting crowd. Given the quality of her 2006 campaign (had various very good wins), 2007 may be a big year for this gal. SHE MUST, however, become more consistent, ......she will have her hands full this evening with the powerful Russian. If both are 'on', breaks should be at a premium here. Safina leads 2-0 h2h. Stosur prefers hardcourts, however, the high bounce with these courts should help Safina. Dinara has two good wins under her belt already, both in straights and both Vs different 'types' of players--she's playign well.

Safina to win 2-0-- .50u to win .91--- goign back to last yr, in her last 6 matches Vs top opponents (players ranked inside the top 20) Stosur is 0-6, all loses in straights. Here's hoping this trend goes 0-7.....

interesting pick hope she opened at like -200 and then went down during the day to -145 before going up a touch. lots of movement for a regular old tennis match. good luck. I played the other side +170 earlier and then scalped out at -145 so I lock in a small profit on this one either way so go and get it. Great info by the way.

I almost never make a futures proposition untill I see the draw (Federer the exception), but given the line and circumstances, I pulled the trigger real early here.....

KIM CLIJSTERS (BEL) TO 'WIN AUSTRALIAN OPEN' -- +1000.....1.5u to win 15u
--firstly, one of her arch nemesis, fellow compatriot, and World number #1 has pulled out of the tournament, Justin Henin-Hardenne. One less elite player to worry about-- and a MAJOR thorn in Kimmy's side--these two met 3 times in '06 with Justin winning all of them. In addition L Davenport is out, again, one less elite player to worry about.
--secondly, the courts will play faster this year at Melbourne Park (so it has been reported--I pasted an article on this in another thread). This favors Kim, no doubt.
-- Kim is healthy, by all reports. She will play at Sydney this week.
--Kim just won the Hong Kong exhibition. Beat Patty in the semi's then Sharapova in straights in the finals.
--at this absurd line, IF KIM REACHES THE SEMI's one can hedge and you have won either way. Will depend on who is remaining in that final four and the numbers, of course. Can she reach the semi's? well of course, i'd like to see the draw first, but it wont be out untill late next week (this line wont be as high by late next week,tho). Nonetheless, since 2002 this is what she has done at Melbourne Park;
2002-- SF's
2003-- SF's
2004-- F's
2005-- did not play in the event, injured
2006-- SF's

--Kim's record, H2H Vs the elite players participating?
M Sharapova-- Kim leads 5-2
A Mauresmo-- Kim leads 8-6
S Kuznetsova-- Kim leads 6-1
D Safina-- Kim leads 6-1
J Jankovic-- Kim leads 5-0
M Hingis-- tied 4-4 ( met 3 times a yr ago, Kim won all 3)
N Petrova-- Kim leads 4-0

nice to know that you are on her as well, red. That line has already tumbled at Bet365 and 5d.

good openign week, let's see what this week brings.

a double

Baghdatis TO Dementieva-- 1u to win .62u....... Gulbis is serve and not much else. He's gone thru qualies, not in impressive fashion. Marcos likes it down under, lots of crowd support. He looked good last week--his loss to Robin was not embarrasing, Soderlign played out of skin. Marcos did not have one ''poor" loss(ie., to a sighnificantly lower ranked player) last season on hardcourts, making him quality parlay material. Hopefully he keeps this alive today..........Dementieva Vs Ai--Battle of The 'I can't serve for Shits'. Ai turns 31 this yr, surely this will be a down yr for her? She's a grinder, a retriever. I don't see her ranked inside the top 30 come year end. She had a disturbing loss at Gold Coast last week to S Ferguson in straights. Has looked solid in qualies this week. These two have met 5 times since '02 with Elena up 3-2, last meeting '04. Dementieva looked fairly good at Hong Kong last week. A good win over Vaidisova and a loss to Sharapova (in 3). She changed her schedule for '07 adding Sydney as a warm-up to next weeks Aussie Open--this after last yrs first round debacle loss at Melbourne Park. At her last two visits to Sydney she has succesfully reached the semi's......

I followed your plays at the US Open, and noticed many were parlays. I bet at Pinnacle, which doesn't have parlays. Who do you bet with that offers parlays?

I think Kim is a choke artist, I like Sharapova. Could see Kimmy losing to any of 10 players.

Dementieva Vs Ai--Battle of The 'I can't serve for Shits'.

between them, they had 32 double faults and 17 service breaks...:missingte

Marcos in straights, Elena in three. Parlay is a winner.

Railbird, you're probably right on Sharapova winning The AO.

achandicap, when you said you 'followed' my US Open plays, I hope you actually didn't bet them. If so, I apologize for costing you monies. Ironically, the previous two years (2004,2005) The US Open was by far my most lucrative GS. I'm using 3 books right now. Pinnacle--provides the fairest lines. Bet365--has the lines up early, and consistent time frame. Allows for parlays and games lines. TERRIBLE lines tho. And lastly, 5dimes. Their lines land somewhere inbetween the above two. This book appears to be getting worse by the yr--if I didn't have to use them I wouldn't. They put up lines when they want to, time frame is DREADFULL. Has games lines and allows for parlays.
