What was your prediction for Iowa at the start of the year?

If I remember correctly, anywhere from 8-4 to 11-1...................and they finished 6-6.

Very disappointing season to say the very least.

At the beginning of the season I thought with a lot of luck they could go 12-0...........and with bad luck, 7-5 at the very worst.

Again, huge disappointment.

It is my belief that if Iowa doesn' produce at least an 8 win regular season next year, he will begin to feel heat from the Iowa faithful.............especially after some of the terrible calls he and his staff have made the past two years.

The REVERSE PASS he called with 3 minutes remaining in the ALAMO Bowl was one of the worst play calls I have ever witnessed as a Hawkeye fan............Iowa with a first and ten on the TEXAS 48 YARD line down by just two points and this is the call??

Ferentz had a brain cramp on that play call. Unlike Callahan of NU that regularly makes calls like that throughout the game.

Obviously the last TWO things you want to happen in that situation is .....

1. Turnover
2. A loss of 5+ yards(which is what happened).

Two things one increases with that call.

But here is the another thing many are overlooking........if that play is successful, probably an 80%+ chance its a touchdown............and thus giving TEXAS, a team who has moved the ball well against a tired Iowa defense plenty of time to come back and score.

When Iowa had the ball on the Texas 48 with only 3 minutes and change remaining, they were a favorite to win.
