I emailed them last night with a mistake they had made posting a rotation game on their board. Within 10 minute they had emailed me back thanking me and credited my account with some cash for pointing out the error.

Doberman, if you don't mind me asking I am curious how much they gave you. I have often noticed errors on theirs and other sites. Intertops gives a $5 bonus which isn't worth my time emailing them

Earlier this year I politely emailed Pinnacle to tell them they'd screwed up the start times on a bunch of European soccer games. (It was a daylight savings time issue.) They sent me a curt "we've forwarded this to the appropriate department" without a thank you.

I'm always amused when people receive monetary compensation from books when they point out an error, as I consider myself lucky to even get a thank you. Sometimes the books are downright rude in response, as if "How dare you think we made a mistake with our posted line!"

Whormoan,
I don't think giving the exact amount is appropriate for me. Certainly was what I felt a respectable amount. It was what I would consider a generous token of appreciation for what I told them.

beetman- I'm glad you brought up the soccer issue with Pinnacle. For such a top notch sportsbook, I am continually amazed at the amount of incorrect start times they have for soccer games. They also have games on the wrong days and keep games up even after they have been postponed. I still email them on occasion but they have so many mistakes in their soccer section, I can't keep up with them all. I'd be emailing them constantly so I just try to catch the blatant mistakes.

My long time pet peeve with their soccer lines is the fact that they have the start time listed two or three minutes before the match kicks off. But as everyone knows, Pinnacle does what they want, how they want to do it and when and if they want to do it. By the way, try betting a soccer game on the phone.

There have been times that I pointed out a bad line or a wrong price on a prop to them and they put $25 in my account but I would rather they just let me make an occasional soccer bet on the phone. But they're Pinnacle and they do whatever the f**k they want to do because they know they can. They're an outstanding sportsbook but they're not exactly the kings of customer service.

Pinnacle has never given me anything, but I've gotten 25-50 bucks from Bodog before for posting errors and one other book, but can't remember exactly which one

the fact that you didnt get a canned, one-size-fits-all response from pinnacle is quite surprising. emailing them is usually a waste of time because they just run you in circles with pre-written responses that offer no help. great book as far as options and prices go. horrible customer service.

Wildbill,
One of the main reasons I caught their mistake was because we had made a mistake on the start time of the same game as well. :ohno:

Haha, if an agent or regulator heard that he would probably say, "That is why we insist you should only use Nevada sources for your information". Morons!

Obviously it matters a lot more to you GD than to me, but frankly I wouldn't shed too many tears if sports was lost in Nevada. We aren't a second class state, why do so many in this state do sports in a second class manner is beyond me. We'd all be better off if most books closed and left what business is left to just a handful of books who know what they are doing and want the business, like yours.
