why is everyone all over Hanshaw? I see his boxing skills no doubt and he looks commited after a couple layoffs, but do we know what Mendy's upside really is- he's never lost professionally and seems like a tough ass to me. I'm staying away for the most part.

I like your over on L. Peterson/Gallardo, but I also like the under 9.5 rounds on his brother Anthony(-125)- medium. His Mexican opponent Garza looks like a come forward banger..

Also Kuma in Japan at 5 dimes at +250 (was higher) is good value for a small to medium bet.

Thanks for the response

One of my associates also played Kuma in Japan and got +328 on the side

I decided to ride the play at +250 small. I realize their records are very comparable and that Kuma's southpaw stance could be the difference. But Kobori definitly has the promotional advantage here, and anything close will go his way for sure. Still, the odds are nice on a very possible upset here.

I've been looking at the Peterson-Garza Under 9.5 -125 since the line opened and I definitley agree with the play. But I have a rule against laying wood on Under bets in boxing...the biggest sucker bet of them all.

However, if Gogoladze was able to finish off Garza in 2 rounds, Peterson should be able to finish him inside the 9.5 rounds. I will continue to ponder playing this round total.

Not sure where you get that, I piled on Miranda under 7.5 at even money, but then it went to -170 or so and was still a deal... and I see lots of these...

I played the Miranda Under 7.5 at +111 and then played the Over at +154 setting up $125 free cash with no risk

Obviously many fights will go Under, but I've seen too many bettors get burned laying wood on Unders and KO props. I can't tell you how many times I've looked at a fight and thought there's no way it goes the distance, and then it goes the distance (Lacy-Sheika / Peters-Klitschko etc)

I still play some Unders at + money and even money, and occasionaly I'll go out on a limb and lay the wood. But for the most part, I sit and watch others post big plays on Unders and KO props that never come through

box - just a shot in the dark here, but do you have any opinions on Nick Casal who is fighting on ShoBox tonight? He's one of my former students, and I just wanted to know if you've heard anything about him (besides the puff pieces I read in the Buffalo News and Niagara Falls Gazette)??

Casal has not looked so good his last 2 fights.... He drew with a tough but very limited fighter recently. I would never lay 3 for 1 on him as available, I did a small play on the Cuban at +271

Like I said before, I was looking at that wager also but don't like laying juice on Unders

However

I will go out on a limb here and play the Peterson-Garza Under 9.5 -130...small

Punchmaster pretty much said it all

I will add that Casal is a Gary Shaw fighter and GS is hosting this event, so anything close will go to Casal

I wouldn't play Casal due to the heavy odds, I wouldn't play the Cuban due to the promotional disadvantage

Casal being a Shaw fighter will not mean much unless he has him up against a nobody. this cuban could possibly fight.

crowd is decent and going to be loud if the bouts are good. fights are done with till 10

Yes but Casal's opponent, Izzy is also a Gary Shaw fighter... both are, I see them as maybe somewhat even, maybe the Cuban is better than we know, so had to go small on the +270. Again, can't see laying 2.5 for one on a guy who's snorted some coke, and got tagged big time by an amateurish fighter. y

Izquierdo is DOMINATING this fight.

That first rd KO was VERY questionable and it has been all Izzy since.
