She's the sideline reporter for the Sugar Bowl.
She got her start in sports with a big SoCal sports station, I think around the early 90s. They stuck her in with a couple of the daytime guys, sports talk, and it was embarrassing. The sports guy tried hard to help, but they had trouble hiding their contempt.
She didn't really know much of anything, and offered a lame opinion only now and then. The idea of the station, I guess, was to toe the PC line, while trying to pull in more female listeners for what was mostly a male audience.
If you're going to do that, at least get a gal who knows sports. (Maybe like the lady who is the Rx commication expert, and who last time I looked was running first or second in the Polit Board handicapping contest)
Jeannie was an embarrassment. Just ignorant about sports; had a smattering of stuff, sounded like something she picked up from a boyfriend. But she parlayed that job into the big money of network sports. PC Rules!
