well i do...a hot tempered hot blooded italian...around 50 or so years old...

this fu-king guy was trying to tell me the Patriots should be -6 this week vs the Jets IN GILLETTE...i called him every name in the book...it really really got heated at one point...then he goes into telling me how he has been gambling for years and year etc (BIG FUC-KING YAWN)..and if he does bet he's the typical sunday morning paper bettor...this guy couldnt hold my jock when it comes to sports and lines and betting....i shoulda dropped it when he said 6 and just said SURE but of course...that didnt happen...i tried to explain how the line could NEVER be Pats-6 at home....-2 on a NEUTRAL FIELD!!!...it didnt sink in......he was insistant the line should be Pats-6......

after that subsided we started argueing about why the Pats were 3pt dogs last week in Tenn....he didnt understand people thought the pats might mail it in and how we werent sure if they would play their starters the whole game...i said the line would be pats -3 in tennessee if BOTH teams were playing for the last playoff spot...and that week17 line only happens in certain situations...he said vegas doesnt make mistakes when they make the lines of course at the time i was so wound up i forgot to throw in his face the carolina/NO line that opened NO-3 and closed Carolina -3....and how that was a 6pt move from the opener...

it took me about an hour to calm down :smoking: (i dont smoke)

My town is 40% Italian. They are the most arrogant and spiteful group of people I've ever met. They are deceptive and manipulative and generally a bad group of people. They are almost always short but they think they are really tough and the girls are hos.

dawoofdaddy...my life is like a revolving seinfeld episode....todays episode was JERK STORE episode where George thinks of the perfect comeback after its too late...bc i said the same thing you said to my brother after it had happened...christ even the NO/CAR example came after it was too late...

i SHOULDA done exactly as you said....told him to name his price and ill give him all the jets +6 he can handle...especially since he wouldnt shut up about how he had been gambling before i was born etc etc...

since im no good at making the lines according to him....i wish i had offered him a bet where we make the lines on next weeks playoff games and whomever comes closest to the friday boston herald # wins...i woulda taken this clown to school...

This is only most of them. A good portion tend to be really friendly and good familymen, but way too many are arrogant toughguys.

The guy wasnt Italian, but last night a guy at the bar kept guaranteeing Dallas would win @ Seattle.

I asked him how much he bet on Dallas and he said nothing yet. I would have bet him alot of money if I knew him well, but since I dont, we bet a pitcher of beer and I have Seattle pick 'em.

I think East Haven is the Italian capital of Connecticut. They are the next town over from us. It's the most ghetto 98% white town i've ever seen. Every Italian guy thinks he has mob or mafia connections too.
