Father yourself a child when you're about 18-20 yo. ! Either out of wedlock, or in a short marriage. You'll be making the equivelant of two car payments, but have no car !, and for 18 years ! You just killed your future ! Use a damn rubber !

Thank GOD ( even though there isn't one, IMO) I never did that. It effects not me personally, but my step-daughter, and her BF. They want to buy a condo, but he's a liability, can't have nothing in his name, I have to tell her don't do it, because he's financially fucked, basically for life.

Harsh but real, that kid screws you for life ! Glad I never did that, but I've always hated small children anyway, they're OK after 8 years old or so.

So true my friend. Not saying I was "trapped" by any means but knowing one was in the oven kinda f'd me for life. That was 25 years ago. I married the girl and are still together. The odds on that were about the same as George Mason beating UConn. Stranger things do happen. We have 2 great kids. We were the lucky ones

I do agree with some of what you say though, young men don't realize just how badly this will hurt them if it goes bad, and there's a really good chance a 20 something it will end in a break up.

Don't get me started on this subject...the woman will take you to the cleaners if you let her.....God forbid you make decent money either.

You have to be very creative or you will be screwed in court.

Got my high school sweetheart pregnant a few months before graduation. Had to forego a free private school education to stay home and raise the kid while working and going to the local community college. We broke up within a year and I still pay child support out the ass. Wasn't planned but I didn't use a condom and it only took one time of letting go inside of her for it to happen.

DONT HAVE A KID UNTIL YOU ARE FULLY MATURE, SETTLED DOWN, AND HAVE THE PERFECT WOMAN PICKED OUT - even then be careful. Cant trust a woman farther than you can see her.

Don't have a kid and don't owe anybody any money - my golden advice that I constantly give to my now 19 year old brother

im 29 and my brother is 27 and marriage for either of us is like laughable right now...we both have gf's..all my close friends about 10 of us all guys...no one is married...some have gf's some dont...no one is close though...its laughable...

thats just us i guess...but as far as the kids go...get her on the pill...better to be safer than sorry...

i know if i had a kid my life would be FU-CKED...i can barely take care of ME, nevermind another...

my mom gives us 1liners all the time, asking when we are gonna have a kid and when she will be a grandmother...we just look at her like she has 2heads....

its laughable....

I agree on some points, but if that does happens is not the end of the world, of course financially is not the best thing, but that could lead to have some direction on life, would make you fight for what you want and at least in my case, I became a hard worker, before I was just spoiled....

And if that does happens instead of criticizing your step daughter you could be supportive.... JMHO

My sis in law actually thought i didnt like my niece.... (i am really scared of babies..they look funny to me man.)

But she is a year older now and can walk so i play with her and talk to her which suprises her. (My brother already knew how i am around babies so he was cool with it and kept tellin her to wait until the baby is bigger.)

Any ways, i am in the same group of thought. You should only have kids when ready to settle down for good and financially sound enough to look after them..

Lord knows i have had some girl friends hit me up for diaper money and crap..(aint that just sick)...

No kids until you are 35 or have a million in the bank..One or the other.

OMG you are me man!!!!! Only difference is that i have a brother with a child so they take some of the pressure off me...

But its worse in a way because my parents know that i am notoriously independent and keep saying i will end up a hermit...(Makes no sense since i go out almost every weekend)
Hopefully this will be the first weekend that i dont go out in over 3 months...

But if the bucks, grizzlies and minny over 187,...there goes that new years resolution.

overload of young pregnant women running around age 21 or younger these days it seems. to many kids nowadays have no disciplne or responsibility and none of them want to work.

its not like the old days and unfortunately many of them end up single moms, busting there ass to get by or end up needing help/assistance.

plus some of these women let guys off the hook when it comes to being a father, spending time and chipping in on finances as they want to do it all on there own as if they are trying to prove someting.

Put me in this category too - I don't need to be married - I can get ***** - I'm not insecure and do not feel the need to tie some girl down because I have a fear I will never be able to get another decent looking girl - some guys are more pathetic than girls.
