Romo did get a first down. I don't get it. They didn't even measure.

HE cant cough it up like that though, can he?

Not sure what you mean...worth the risk on 4th down to extend for the 1st down. Even if you fumble it is worth the risk...you are turning it over on downs without the 1st.

his knee was down around the 3...not that close guys

The spot goes wherever the ball is when the knee hits...not where the knee is.

Then why did Seattle start the drive at the one?

where the fuck was the measurement...this is a fix. You have to measure that. He was down at the 1 1/4 line.

Clip, I'm glad you mentioned this.

I was wondering the same thing!! Why not extend the ball out & go for the first? That's Tony Romo for you...

He clearly didn't reach the line. I thought he was gonna though during the play. Was an excellent tackle. That's tough to defend when not expecting it at all.

I think he got hit a moment before he thought he would, but it's so bang-bang that it's easier to say after the fact of course.

I agree with D2Bets here...he was anticipating being tackled he even looked back but it appeared he got tripped up a split second before he was going to lunge forward...the correct spot was made, he didn't make it.

I am wondering why Dallas didn't just let Seattle score after the Alexander run?

For some reason, NFL coaches never do this when down by one. Obviously, It wasn't relevant pre-2 pt. conversion, but I've only seen it once since (Holmgren in the Super Bowl). When Alexander broke through the line on first down, I thought that's what Parcells was trying but the safties moved in and made the tackle. That said, a ballcarrier being allowed to score from such a distance would be smart to take a dive down on the other side of the field before the end zone to keep the clock running, but I bet it would be hard for most of these guys to turn their backs on the 90 yard TD run

Funny thing is, I don't think the announcers (the great Madden) even realized that a first down was in play as Blowmo headed towards the endzone. Had sound on real low so may have missed something but don't think so.

I was shocked the announcers didn't mention it--they JUST had a replay on a spot that was overturned the play BEFORE. When that happened they thought it was the most important sopt ever. Shows you they really don't know what is always happening. I thought he was short of the line--however-where the ball was actually spotted it loks like it was inside the 1.
