Okay, I don't know crap.

My old roomamte set up my wireless network unsecured but with only three computers with access from "Mac Addresses" (I think its called). My laptop, his computer and my other roommate's computer only. Well he moved out and my other roommate doesn't know anything. He has access but now I can't get in my own network for some reason. Also I have a brand new 12" widescreen Toshiba for portability that I need to connect. I have the administrator password but have never done anything like this. I need to find both mac addresses for my two computers and make sure they are allowed access. Also I heard that to get to administration I need to actually be connected to my network. Is this true? I am riding a weak signal from a neighbor currently. My other roommate is connected to my network if I need to do this while connected on his computer. Can't I just go to Linksys home page to adminstrate? And how do I find my Mac addresses on my pc computers?

Thanks for helping in Advance.

To get an IP address:
Start->Run->type in
cmd
click OK
type in
ipconfig /all
press enter
The physical address is what you are looking for.

To make changes on the router you will use your roommate's computer. The router should have a web page for administration. The address to logon to likely is either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, so open IE and logon to
http://192.168.0.1. You may need a username and password that is likely kept default and can be found in Linksys' manual.

Not sure what a Mac Address is. Your IP address is usually all you need. But, I could be wrong.

Well, 12" Dual processor true brite widescreen with dvd burner and media center for 1100$ 4 lbs. Cheapest I could find to take the rx on the go. I got a 17 in Dell widescreen laptop that basically is my desktop so I wanted something to go on the road with.
