Anyone use any online bank to keep savings in? Something with a nice %?

HSBC has always been great. They're current interest rate is 5.5%, I believe. Which is more than ING Direct and most of the other "high-interest" savings brokers.

I use both HSBC and Emigrant online savings accounts. Both have great rates compared to B&M Banks.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but im new to this. How does this work do the banks pay a certain % each month or is it %each year?

ING Direct can't be beat. I've been using them for years. Savings pay 4.5% and checking over 50k pays 5.3%. CD's great rate as well.

im guessing 4.5 is yearly and not monthly?

INGDirect, HSBC Direct and CitiDirect are the best 3 IMO. I've used the second and third of these without incident. Heard the same from my friend that use ING too.
