What an embarrassment the refs don't even know the rules.

Hilarious.

:103631605 two refs signalling Eagles ball.

A return man has the right to pick up a ball and try and advance it without risk once the defender touches it...simple NFL rule, yet two refs standing right there blew the call.

The past few years we've seen return men start to take advantage of this rule...I'm surprised by now the refs aren't more aware of this when it happens.

They all rely on replay anymore...

The refs already killed the Giants with that Runyan fiasco......

I'm suprised more players don't try to pick it up in that situation, once the eagles touched the ball, ny keeps the ball no matter what happens after that, even if R.W. picks it up then fumbles it.

Exactly...I am shocked more returners don't go after these balls after they have been touched by the kicking team. There is not a single negative thing that can happen from that point on.

Just a stupid risk, how about if you pick it up run a yard and get blasted by the 4 eagles around the ball.

Just doesnt seem like a risk/reward that any coach would emphasize.

serious injury to the receiver player. he tries to pick that ball up, there are eight guys just waiting to beat the crap out of you.

Well yeah, but you could say that about him fielding every punt, comes with the territory...

Had a high school coach 20 plus years ago that was well aware of this rule and we took advantage of it often.

Agree ... and its almost impossible to get anything more than 2 yards.

If I was the return guy and someone told me to go after it, I would say, YOU DO IT

The fact is teams have scored off of this ....where RW was at , the odds were low of course, but suppose he took the ball out to the 15, and got NY out of that horrible field position, I give him credit for thinking.
