My ex-roommate made just under $30,000/yr. and had 2 kids. She was eligible for food stamps.

Don't get me started.

Doug, a guy can be homeless but still have money! Cell phones only cost about $25 a month for the type of use that a homeless person would need. It cost a HELL of a lot more than that for a house

Homeless people with cell phones.

This topic begs at least one important question. How do they charge the cell phone?
Maybe churches provide an area for them.:icon_conf

So what can we take from this ?...... Oh i get it!. There is no need to fear going bust.

Homeless people have it just as good as everyone else.

Just for the record, I see way more homeless people than most on this forum. I have never seen a homeless person using a cellphone.

My wife is a Pharmacist, and it pisses her off to no end, when people come in with cell phones, rings on every finger, gold teeth, or come through the drive thur in a brand new car, and get their prescriptions on medicare. I have to listen to her vent about once a week about it.

I never thought highly of gold teeth. Are they a status symbol?

I take it that when she turns 65 she plans to not sign up for medicare? Wow! is she going to pass on social security too?

The real question is why after a couple of thousands of years of humans being able to comunicate to each other and invent a money system and religion,

Are we still struggling to make ends meet? Why is it that there are so many people living from paycheck to paycheck and would be homeless if they quit being a slave to the rich?

Humans are the stupidest animals on this planet. They can be tricked into slavery without direct force. I feel sorry for all of you who need to live in this system of money and religion. That's not what this life is all about.

Yeah, but very misguided. Same kind of thing as wearing gold chains with shirt undone and hairy chest, or having your jeans hanging half way down your legs. Or putting decals and a race spoiler on your car when it doesn't have any serious engine/suspension mods. It's ok, they give you something to laugh at.

Are you fucking kidding me. You complain about not having enough money but you you gamble. You are a loser. We are the stupid ones that go to work to support our families. We are the idiots that get tricked into working so we don't live in a box down by the railroad. Yep you are right what was I thinking. Making money so I can have a big tv with D-network and having a 3 br house with 2 newer cars. OMG I am an idiot for buying that boat and jut skis. Oh man I am just a slave.

The rich want to stay rich, the middle doesn't want to become poor, while the poor just think about things day to day. People are are comfortable with compromise, willing to settle for things not to be worse.

Agree, but most people don't think there is an alternative. Life is about living, not working 35+ hours a week only for 30-50% to be taken by a government, then have to worry about the morgage, bills etc. However, how many people can provide their family with a good living without making this sacrifice? It would take radical action to change the way things currently are, and most people don't have the guts or will to do anything about it.
