Yes because he is a great hitter that has something to prove and is still young.

No because Jeter treats him like crap and is trying his best to run him out of town at the expense of winning another ring.

Do you think high priced players help or hurt the moral of a team overall?

Jeter and ARod --don't get along? One poster above says.

I don't think ARod has the mental makeup to lead the Yankees to a World Series Championship. He certainly is a great hitter, but I think he's got himself in such a bad mental state that he can't come through when he's needed most.

If the Yankees could get a bunch of good young prospects for him, I think they should trade him. I don't see it happening though.

It depends what they can get for him. It is complicated and not easy with that salary. Also who can you get comparable? TOugh situation.

The pressure was clearly bothering him.

NY, a very tough place to play sometimes.

Giambi has had a some words with him. If you add that to Jeter and Torre; I'm not so sure he's worth it.

Get rid of him. The guy is one of, if not the best player in baseball and the NY fans give him no credit. Sure, he hasn't done particularly well during playoffs but look at a guy like Barry Bonds. He had the same stigma until that year he hit like 400 in the playoffs, all it takes is one good stretch.

A Rod will go down as the best baseball player in history in all likelihood yet he gets booed in his own town. A Rod hits a home run when the Yanks are down 4 runs, he's getting meaningless stats, but if Jeter does the same thing he's starting a rally. Get rid of him.

Boys, our Phils need more some Ace pitching..less Pat "The K" Burrell..

two things they never seem to have the last four years..

Lieberthal is strictly a glove at this point..finally parted ways with aging glove-only Bell..

Tossed away a solid Polanco last year as to not hear him whine about PT..

Pat Gillick gives up Gavin Floyd for old man Freddy Garcia??..WTF!

Not since the Dallas Green Era has the Phils acted like a Top 7 Major Metro in the Free Agency market in pursuing players, and when they do, it's usually underrated/sleeper position players, and journeyman arms being put in over their heads vs their true rotational grade ranks..never an ACE!

The Phils have disappointed me yet again, despite their bandbox' negative allure to Free Agents, as they now have one of the game's best everyday lineups to recruit Free Agents with..and yet NADA again!

Of course. His numbers were excellent - the expectations were just too high...probably because of the ridiculous 25 mill he's making...

What would you prefer? Only one choice.
A Rod or a 20 game winning starting pitcher.
