Couture to "unretire" and fight Sylvia for the HW belt in March. I hope for his sake he wins this fight, but if he couldn't bring Chuck down, he ain't going to bring Sylvia down. I think he saw Rocky Balboa and thought he was a real boxer.

I'm still waiting for Chuck to go up to HW, the guy has to walk around at 225 at least and he could easily beat Sylvia in the stand up game. Sylvia sure as hell isn't knocking out Chuck.

If Couture wins, imagine a summer card of

Couture/Cro-Cop
Chuck/Rampage (if Chuck's knee is healed)

I was just about to post this. This is supposed to be the major announcement on Inside the UFC this Thursday. Apparently, Sylvia vs. Gabriel Gonzaga and Matt Hughes vs. Chris Lytle wasn't going to generate a lot of buzz for UFC 68 in Columbus, OH. Maybe ticket sales were slow. This will likely change that.

I think Randy's got a real good chance against Sylvia, especially if he gets it to the ground, which he more than likely will.

Now that Randy and CroCop are in the UFC, the UFC has some decent HW's (Sylvia, Arlovski, Vera). They need to resign Paul Buentello. I know AA knocked him out quick, but that's one fight and he has been destroying everyone since.

I would love to see Couture-CroCop, Rampage-Liddell and maybe something like Tito-Babalu (would be a great ground battle) or a Tito-Rashad Evans matchup and a Forrest-Jardine rematch.

Word on Vera is that he has some contractual disputes with the UFC and that's the reason why he's not the one fighting against Sylvia for the title. He has one more fight left on his contract. Vera might not be around for long. Vera vs Sylvia would be better than Sylvia vs Couture. Look at Couture when he fought Ricco, Barnett and Rizzo. Size was a big factor in those fights.

Couture should fight at his optimal weight, LHW. Even though he has shown to have no chance against Chuck, he stands to beat a good chunk of the other LHW's.

But I believe he's coming back at a good time for MMA, lots of money flooding in, Why not coming back and take some of that money.

Werd...I don't think Couture has a prayer of getting Sylvia down, he's to damn tall and has a damn good sprawl. Shoot, Randy couldn't get Chuck down. The only way this fight goes down is if Sylvia lets it go down and I don't know why he'd do that, he's got a huge reach advantage on Couture

I agree about Randy staying at LHW. Randy is a very light HW, I've met both him and Sylvia and I can tell you Sylvia is a giant compared to Couture. Couture is going to have to gain weight for this fight, he is one lean mofo.

I love Randy, but right now I think he'd have trouble with Tito, Sobral and Rampage. It's not like he left UFC at the top of his game, and those were his two biggest fights. Tito looked better than Randy did in either of his Chuck losses.

Now watch him become HW champ and me eat my words!

As for Vera, he wants a huge bonus and UFC ain't giving him a title shot with only one fight left on his contract. I'm surprised UFC doesn't sign him, he's a great fighter, but he's not worth Cro-Crop money, that's for sure.

I believe that you WILL be eating your words my friend. As Randy said himself Sylvia is fighting not to lose. I can't wait to see Randy back with a belt. It sets up so well for Dana if Randy wins.

UFC has gotten a LOT more interesting for sure.

Randy was fighting a good fight until he slipped against the Iceman.
Chuck is so good that was all it took.
If Randy takes a page from the submission book he can beat Sylvia without taking a beating. That is how Sylvia lost the title last time.

I remember when Randy first won the Title great fight I'm pulling for an upset and then he can fight Cro-cop or Rampage Jackson it is a business remember the Fix is on.

Maybe I’m wrong but Rampage Jackson + Chuck L = Chucks funeral, what do you think the odds will be ? This might be my super bowl. I think the bad performance by the cowboy will make this an even more lucrative opportunity.
