Enough of the long faces. Beleieve me I am as tired as the next guy about all the uncertaintiy but the show must go on, right?

I have learned more in the last 12 months than the other 34 years combined at this and I will be damned if I am going to let some book (that no one could beat anyway, LOL) ruin what I have going.

The strong will survive. Everyobody needs to have a positive attitude and with all of our collective minds we can figure out/share alot of things on these type forums. It will be a learing peorid going forward but look on the bright side, it is a lot better than it was 10 years ago when it comes to betting on sports.

Now lets win some money tonite.

I will miss Pinny as well, but now it is time to look to the future.

I believe the day of the exchanges has truly come. I love this, as I really like that type of betting. The only thing that worries me is...do we see an influx of offers, or just an influx of "takers" to beat me to the offers that I want?

I think what you are missing is:

If Pinnacle can decide to shut down - or be forced to shut down, anyone can shut down and I would guess 80% books could not pay all balances.

It is my opinion that now is not the time to have a lot of money offshore. I'm looking at all sorts of options from real estate to currency trading to ebay companies, but I've only got about 10% of my bankroll offshore right now.

Pinnacle provided incredible liquidity to other books. Many "offshore" books are really in the US or have US owners. Before now they could take 100 bets at -110 and lay them off at -105 with no risk. They also mimicked Pinnacle's lines.

I think we will see 2+ books stiff people after the super bowl.

How do you figure it is a lot better now than it was 10 years ago betting on sports. 8 years ago i got crazy scalps just from pinny, vip, and bos alone? Face it nothing will bring those days back! I would get scalps of say a -200 and a +320 just from those 3 sites alone. Everything is crap now and it just keeps getting worse.
