They seem to rate CRIS, WSEX, Pinny & VIP pretty high. I just wondered how much a good review costs a book these days? Wondering if we should put any stock in the reviews, as we're searching for a new book, now. I'm sure they get a healthy check sent to them for putting a casino on their A list.

Thoughts?

That's all I needed to hear!

I think I'll jump over to CRIS. What you think?

I trust them nearly implicitly. They're one of the few places who I can say that about.

There is no Consumer's Union for sportbettors, but SBR seems to have done a righteous job in reporting on the good, the bad and the ugly in the offshore industry.

And forums like this to get the views of others with direct experience with virtually any book you can name.

SBR has been around a long time and has a great track record.

They are located in Costa Rica as well..

Yes I trust them, no reason not too. They seem to be the most legit of the watchdog sites

They also have nine.com rated as a top tier book. As with anything, money talks.

any rating service in any industry can be bought.

Spot on! That's what it's all about.

How else do you explain SIA being this site's "Platinum Member"? That book's a fucking joke! Bill Dozer is no different.

The best watchdogs are the forum posters. I'd suggest checking
out the search functions for any books you are interested in and
the comments of veteran members. Not just at the Rx.

By the way plenty of the posters are shills. Can't trust anyone in this industry.

Is it true that higher ratings can be bought at SBR?

ratings in ANY industry can be bought. Insurance, medical, auto, ect......

show me a person who's job it is to rate things, and I will show you a person making 50k a year, but living like they make 200k a year.

I would follow this advice, since my post in this thread was deleted last night so I can't really offer opinions or voice my opinions on the books you listed

SBR is proof you don't need a government watchdog. SBR is the most trusted when it comes to gambling site reviews.
