Quick question: I'm looking at their NBA overnights, and everything is -110 both sides. Everyone talks about the exchanges offering better lines more often than not, but wouldn't this equate to even WORSE than -110 because of the commission?

Or am I missing something or what?

It does seem like Mansion has a lot more $ being wagered than Matchbook, though.

There is no commission for buyers on that exchange - problem is it is all -110 early in the morning.

The sellers only pay commission at Mansion. What you would need to do is pick the side or total you want, then set your price and hope someone accepts your offer.

Mansion's exchange is better than Matchbooks but both are good - and great as a back up to Pinnacle.

They put in -110 by default. You need to make an offer and have it matched to get what you want.

I hope that there'll be 10x more volume at Mansion now, but I somehow doubt it.

Exactly great backup to Pinnacle. But by no means a replacement. Can't understand people who are saying this on here..

Exchanges are the absolute nuts if you're a small bettor who mostly makes straight bets. Beyond that, you do need a collection of traditional books to exploit bad lines for larger amounts, among other things.

How much is the commission if I wanted to sell a game at -108 then? What would I have to price it at?

And is their interface user-friendly? I've only used Matchbook in the past, and their interface is really easy to use in terms of figuring commission into your wager. Either that, or I had no idea WTF I was doing.

The commission is 1%, so if you sold a game at -108 and you won it would really be -109.

I think it is user friendly, pick your bet, put in your price, fire away!!!

Mansion has the potential to be the new Betfair for Americans. I find it strange that American punters don´t want to use 10 minutes to learn how to use the exchanges. Why is that? Ingonarance? Lazyness?

Better prices and safer place for your money as the busy exchanges have very little chanse to get into finacial problems because they have no risk in the bets. What´s there not to like?

So do I. My return of invest went way up after I started using them instead of the 20cent juice books.

OK cool, thanks.

Can you also sell a game at a completely different line? Like if a game was Dallas -3 -110, could I sell it at -3 +100 (or any line I want), or something like that?

Thats the whole idea. Say you like Dallas-3. If there is -106 available for you to back but you want a lower juice just place a bet dallas-3 +101 or whatever you want and wait until somebody takes it. When the other player takes your offer, he´s betting Dallas´s opponent +3 -101. Very simple.

SkinsRaj-

I'm a huge Mansion fan. Those -110s overnight will be down to -104 or better by tomorrow afternoon. There just aren't that many offers until you get closer to game time.

If you want -108, you'll need to offer at -108 * .99 or -106.92. If you want a price on the + side, divide by .99 to get your offer price.

Hope to see you and your offers on Mansion!

Comparing Mansion to Pinnacle, there is much less volume, less variety, and you can't sell points. But if you're not looking to scalp, not looking for CBB first half moneylines or Iranian Soccer, and just want somewhere to place a straight wager for less than a dime on a side or total in the major U.S. sports, Mansion had Pinnacle beat yesterday. Plus their CS has always been great to me.

Thanks for all the help fellas, I appreciate it. I'm big on overnights and just trying to figure out if it'd be advantageous to post up there, as opposed to a normal sportsbook like CRIS or somewhere else who posts overnights.
