[Rooters - New York, Jan 12] NFL SAYS NO CANCELLED GAMES
The National Football League annouced today that no playoff games will be cancelled this weekend due to the closing of the giant Pinnacle Sports Book to American bettors.
"Contrary to widespead speculation," said a spokesman for the NFL, "all the games will be played. In fact, we are quite happy that there well be fewer gamblers besmirching our sport with their activity. So happy, in fact, that we would like to make the entire country feel as good as we do, so look for every close call in the Philadelphia-New Orleans game to go the way of the Saints, who are an inspiration to the nation."
He added, with a chuckle: "In fact, look for even the not-so-close calls to be decided in the Saints' favor. We all want them in the Super Bowl, to complete this tremendous story."
