First off I am not talking about clobbering them but more or less betting small edges with them for $100 a play. I have never had any problems with any locals (must have had 6 or so in my lifetime), ever.

I know it really isn't on the up and up in a way and I am not leaving the offshore industry but seems llike with CBB they just can't keep up with all the steam. I have had no problem (in the past) getting down quite a bit of GOOD bets and I have come to find out what an absolute goldmine it is in this day of most books having the same number.

Anyone do this? I think it is something I may add to my daily routine at a higher level the rest of the year.

Once again I want to stress not getting carried away with it and abusing it but just getting down lots of good plays for low amounts. Sort of flying under the radar.

Feel like a slimeball theif personally doing this.

Theif? They are the ones playing with the edge, charging you -110 for a 50% wager. My point isn't to go crazy but I am saying it is alot easier finding numbers slightly off with a local, espically on busy Saturday like today.

Getting 1 point edges or so is smart betting. It is the BM responsibility to keep up with line moves. He has know idea who I am going to bet. He puts the line up for me to bet and then it is up to me to decide who I want. Sometimes he LEANS heavy 1 way because he is 1 sided and this creates value for you the bettor. I don't know how many times bookies I know have moved favorites up a few points in the NFL because they knew (and they were right) that their clients would still bet the favorite and so I helped balance there books. Is that right on there end to move lines up for favs because they know a few guys will still bet them? My point is it goes on on both ends.

No one is putting a gun to anyones head and with some of the crazy rules bookies have, I hardly think they are playing a losing game. No reason to feel sorry for them.

Now I do agree if the line is HUGE mistake (wrong team favored, line off 5 points, etc..) than morally it is wrong to knowingly exploit it but getting small differences in lines from a local is the main reason most guys have a few guys to call, espcially in a world where most books clone numbers.

Find as many small edges as you can and try to grab them and you should at least be playing a breakeven game which is VERY tilted against the bettors.

If a bettor called in a bet to a bookie and the line was BAD and the BAD line favored the bookie, would the bookie after finding out the line was BAD, adjust the line so that it would now be a "fair" line for the bettor?
