I posed this question in baseball forum but its pretty quiet there this time of year. Who offeres the highest limits on season win totals for MLB in Las Vegas? I know they won't be out for a while but who historically puts them up and will take a decent bet on them? Can't trust any off-shore for 6 months+ in current environment and one of main places(pinny) is gone now altogether. March trip is being planned to coincide with numbers hopefully going up. Hope Las Vegas Books grew some balls since last time I went there for serious betting!

I have been going to Vegas for years during the tournament, and at the same time I usually play a few totals for baseball. Caesars, Mirage, IP all have them up. Barbary Coast use to have them up , but recently haven't had them up during 1st weekend of tournament. Don't remember if Flamingo had their totals up yet during that time. Harrahs No. There probably is a few other Casinos with them up if you go shopping for them.

I have played 5 dimes with no trouble at Caesars. Noone else would take it.

My pleasure. Same goes for NFL totals. They take the most action. Ventian wanted to charge me a staggered line for each dime and Harrah's would have held me to 500. MGM properties don't book it anymore. Even with holding the money all year they were taking a beating..

These used to go up in Jan/Feb, now you see some books put them up about 10 days before the season starts. I am thinking without a credit line you might at best get 2 dimes on them, more likely a dime. Its a good question who puts them up this year, IP and Hilton are only places you can be sure will have them. Palms is a pretty good bet for them as well. Others will probably have them, but when and at what vig are very good questions. The numbers have been so poor last couple years I have bet them only online.

My guessing a lot of them will have inflatedly high numbers to get the homer tourists to bet an inflated number on the over and let them have a higher limit. Go in and bet the same number under and they will cap you pretty low. Kind of like what Bodog does on many things. Hard to believe they can't make money when they get to hold the money 6 months+ before they even have to pay the winners but I'm sure they have their reasons.
I'm sure missing the reduced offerings off-shore already. SW's in baseball has been my single best moneymaker even with the wait. Just will have a hard time trusting anybody off-shore that long. Greek if anybody. Thansk again for input.

Actually the lines were right in line with offshores, but with lots of 30 and 40 cent takebacks. They were completely unbetable unless you didn't have a Pinny account.

I thought I had discussed this before, but I suppose some weren't clear. The IP is no longer an independent book, it is a part of the Harrah's/Caesar's network. The only thing left of its own is what was put into place prior to the takeover (i.e. NFL,NBA, NHL, CBB futures).

I had my hands full with Mika, Dee, and Kristal on Wednesday night and they are back next weekend, so I'm guessing that will make life much easier.

You don't put up your own halftime lines on hoops for the tournament like last year ?

Just because Harrah'line is at IP did not necessarily mean to me that IP didn't have SW's available this year. That is all I was asking.
