Well .. the easy explaination is:

the winner gets paid $100 per share.

you can buy and sell at anytime at the going price.

example: <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=3 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR class=lines-contest-header><TD vAlign=bottom width="74%" height=25>Series Name <TD vAlign=bottom align=right width="8%">Sell <TD vAlign=bottom align=right width="8%">Buy <TD vAlign=bottom width="10%"><TR class=lines-contest-oddrow><TD>INDIANAPOLIS +3.5 <TD align=right>53 <TD align=right>58 <TD noWrap align=right>-138 <TR class=lines-contest-evenrow><TD>BALTIMORE -3.5 <TD align=right>42 <TD align=right>47 <TD noWrap align=right>+112 </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

You buy the Colts +3.5 right now at $58...if you decide the Colts dont cover,,,you can sell your share at the going "sell" price.

You can adjust the price of your contract. It does not have to be for $100. Just click the drop down menu.

Shoeman,

Thanks for the education. I have a question for you though. Say I currently do hot have a contract. What does the selling of a contract mean then? For example:

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=3 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=lines-livebet-contest-title colSpan=4><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=lines-livebet-contest-title>PHILADELPHIA +5.5 AT NEW ORLEANS (1-Pay)</TD><TD class=lines-livebet-contest-title align=right>$100 WIN </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR><TR class=lines-contest-header><TD vAlign=bottom width="74%" height=25>Series Name <TD vAlign=bottom align=right width="8%">Sell <TD vAlign=bottom align=right width="8%">Buy <TD vAlign=bottom width="10%"> <TR class=lines-contest-oddrow><TD>PHILADELPHIA +5.5 <TD align=right>48 <TD align=right>50 <TD noWrap align=right> EVEN <TR class=lines-contest-evenrow><TD>NEW ORLEANS -5.5 <TD align=right>50 <TD align=right>52 <TD noWrap align=right> -108 </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Selling New Orleans @ 50 or Philly @ 48. I just dont grasp the concept. If I buy a contract, it costs me 52 for NO and 50 for Philly right? Next question -- If I have a contract on NO at 5.5 for 52$. If that wins do I get my 52 back plus the 100 or what? Sorry if I sound like a dumbass, but I guess I am when it comes to interactive trading at WSEX. Totally new at this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time

Well thats the juice WSEX makes.

In this case if you bought at $50 you would sell at $48 and WSEX makes $2,for the transaction.

2. NO...each contract no matter what you buy at equals $100, at the end of the game.

for instance...if you buy the leader at the 2:00 minute warning in the 4th, for $99,and it holds to win,,,you get $100...hence $1.00 profit.

let me know if you still need help ... I will wait

No Problem ...that's why we are here.

we will try to help each other out.

don't bet until you understand it fully.

the tricky part to remeber is:
1.the line changes constantly
2.you only get the selling price, when you sell ... no matter what you buy for.
3. If you hold the contract until the end of the game .... if you win,you get $100.(you DON'T get $100 plus your buy price ... JUST THE $100)

I like this better than Pinny's in game. Much quicker & the #'s are up a HELL of a lot more often.

OK,,here it is right now.

PHILADELPHIA +5.5 AT NEW ORLEANS (1-Pay) $100 WIN

Series Name Sell Buy
PHILADELPHIA +5.5 47 52 -108
NEW ORLEANS -5.5 48 53 -112

If you buy Philly it costs $52
(say u bought Philly this morning and westbrook broke his leg..just saying) and you dont like your bet,,u can get out now ..and sell for $47 ..$5 loss.

same with New Orleans - different prices)

OK,,say u hold your Philly for $52...as the game goes on,,this line will change,
up/down depending on the score of the game.
(Philly winning price goes up / Philly losing price goes down)
you are only interested in the selling price ,right now.

at the end of the game the price for the winner will be $100 to sell
and $0.00 for the loser.

The idea is to sell your contract , when you think you can get maximum selling price.

you can sell it at anytime,,or hold it to the end.
you can also rebuy contracts during the game,as the price changes.

now remember the final price is always $100 for winner $0.00 for loser.

So,say the score goes to NO-49 PHL-3..The SELLING Price Will Change To :

NO $99 PHL $1.00, because NO willprobably win.

As the score changes the line will change too.

and lastly...1 PAY $100, which means:

for each WINNING contract ( no matter what you buy for) will get 1 payout of $100.

So..with like 1 minute left in the game, if the score is 49-3 NO,and you think it will hold...you can buy NO for $99 and sell for $100,making $1.00 profit.

let me know

Awesome dude. Thanks a ton for the explanation. Sorry if I'm being a pain in the ass & wasting your time. Im actually starting to grasp this concept now. Gonna wait a few games before I actually start using it. Just trying to see the whole concept of it and whether or not you can make some nice profit. How often do you use this?

your welcome,
Thats what this BB is about, to help each other out.

me...not much.

for fun mostly.

the best way to use it,,if you like a dog on the ML.
If you took the Eagles even,,I think the open-buy price was $37.

So..instead of betting it on the ML,where you are totaly stuck with the bet,If the game doesn't go your way ... you can sell-out, at a minor loss, instead of a total loss.

but,,watch the line as it moves,,you will catch on.

let me know if you need help
