Time to say goodbye

I had come here tonight just to post this message and be on my way, but as usual I got caught up in good debate with the people on here so I carried on a bit for one last time. But it is time to say goodbye, the Rx is a different place than it used to be. Changes are being made, changes which don't include plans for myself. So its time for me to move on and do new things in new places.

Its been a good five years for me here, the last three as a writer and it isn't easy to leave. I knew all along I would never win most popular poster or writer just because I usually choose a different path than most. The good money is to be made swaying when the crowd is all going in a common direction. The road less taken is the only way to great success.

I wish you all happiness and success in your gambling pursuits. Remember its still a game and games should be fun. Very few people have the resources, the emotional makeup, and the support system necessary to attempt to make good money at sports betting or any type of gambling. For the rest it is important to keep what you do in perspective and just keep one goal in mind: to get better at what you do every day.

All the best...:howdy: :howdy:

WTF? Can you elaborate on the changes that are being made, the direction this place is headed, and why you no longer want to be a part of it?

I know that myself, along with some other posters I've discussed this with, think that you're one of the most intelligent, down-to-earth, thoughtful posters on here.

This is truly a sad day if you leave. You're one of the few posters for whom I have the utmost respect.

I'm sure that doesn't mean much coming from my retarded ass, but I don't make a point to read all of everyone's posts. I certainly do for yours, though.

Or if you'd rather not elaborate on here, you mind if I grab your email address and shoot you one?

If not, it's cool, I understand.

Just say it is not so.

A lot of people leave, but this one brings me on the brink of tear shed.

I will miss you WB, you had some incredible writes and posts. I am a bit shook up that you would up and go at a point, but nothing lasts forever.

I enjoyed reading your work and talking with you at the bash as well as exchanging words with you right here on the forum.

You had that one year, I think it was '04 you just spit out good article after good article. So prolific. Just great reads every 4-5 days, it was incredible. You are gifted WB.

I learned quite a bit from you and wish you nothing but the best.

We'll really miss your thoughts and experience that you share here at the RX. I for one enjoy reading all that you write and say. It just won't be the same without you. I hope you'll consider what I chose to do which was take some time to make sure there was proper balance in my life and then stop in whenever I feel like it. I will always wish you well and never forget your kind thoughts. Feel free to e-mail me anytime if you like. I'd love to hear how you are doing.

Sorry to hear this Bill, I wish nothing but the best of luck in your future endeavours. Hopefully you will still drop a frequent and as usual well thought out post on us.

Best of luck, wil..

What changes here is WB talking about? I also am a dumbass.
Everyday seems to just bring more bad news.

WB, you are of the top 3 posters on all the boards combined that I respect and this is very sad. All the very best to you.

Had the pleasure of talking to Bill in person at the BASH (with Illini) and it's obvious he has a great passion for the world of gambling. After reading his articles, talking in person gave me an even greater insight about where he is coming from. The past 5 years have seen many changes here and in the ONLINE GAMING WORLD as well, I wish you luck and will miss your stuff here.
