I can't see scalping plausible without Pinnacle.

Just from a gambling sense I realize I do not have much of a edge anymore - laying -110 all over the place - no drop down menu for a 1/2 point - they Mansion EX was nice enough to offer Florida State +8.

I have come to the conclusion it is likely I will someday have all my offshore funds stolen by a book - most books are not honorable like Pinnacle and would walk with our funds.

the biggest killer is half time lines to be honest. Its just a brutal situation right now...

The last 2+ years my scalping at Pinny(and total volume overall) dropped about 90% at Pinny...............why?

I think what some feel to understand about matchbook, is that the large players like FH, are making the MKTS on BOTH sides of the line at a place like matchbook.

When the SB line comes out, there will be an offer like this

SD -5 @ -102---- $26,000

Saints +5 @ -104---$26,500

A player like FH will be putting the $ up for grabs. But he is taking a 2% vig, and a 4% vig on either side, just like a bookie would.

Matchbook allows the user to become the BOOKIE.

IMO people fail to see/understand this.

Such a plan is possible, though not w/o risks.

Of course the 2 or 4% vig would be less with MB 2% fees.

What happens when the line moves to 6 and -5 is hit before it can be taken down? Not a good business plan imo.

Arbing existed before reduced juice. The problem will occur if the # of available books continues to dwindle.

If you are watching what is going on, you know what direction a line is/should move.

As far as the 2% commish, yes......but I also posted a VERY low vig #.

I see offers like -107, on both sides get gobbled up all day long.

so at -107, minus the 2% commish, you make 5%.

I would think it's safe to say, that with a 300% rate of return, FH is doing quite well.

Pinny removed yummy lines (drop-down menu) in its soccer section 3 months ago, the only place left for me is bet365. I just can't directly place my bets from the US.

& sometimes they are, but still make a killing.

It's more then a theory, it's how the WISE guys make $ at MB.

Imagine if a local bookie came up to you and said "here are my customers, here is the web site they will be using, they will place bets thru you from now on, they will front the $ upfront so you have no concern of collecting, and all you have to do is each day make a post showing how much $ on each game and each side you are willing to put up for grabs and at what juice".

how would that deal sound?
