I thought the forum would be full of threads going on about how it was such a great, thrilling match of football. It had everything in it, and it goes on to show that the NFL is the best sports entertainment in the world.

I know it's my fav. and many other people outside USA think the same. It's so much better than soccer it's ridiculous, i switched to Real Madrid- Zaragoza twice during the whole match, for a quick score check and couldnt really be bothered in the whole second half.

This match reminded me of the movie Troy, so spectacular, with heros and tragedy, man was it a great game.

SD lost because of themselves partly, but you have to give achilles some merit right there (Tom Brady) and LT playing the character Hector for the chargers, a great performance shred to pieces by a few costly mistakes, the interception fumbled represents the horse full of greeks being taken inside troy, then fumbled, ( the soldiers come out) and then the following TD+ 2 point conv. would represent the doors of troy being opened from the inside. Marty was the bad advisor from the troyan king.

All the while it looked so much like those movies when there is a mismatch between good and evil ( being SD the evil), where you can clearly see that the evil is so much stronger, and menaces to destroy the good (NE) at any moment, but the good manage to just stay alive, with a breath of hope if only a miracle could be achieved, and then the miracles happen and good- prevails. I dont mean to say SD are evil, im saying it was so cinematographic, things played out in such a way it beats any script hat could have ever be written on this game.

MY POINT: This may come across as gay, but i feel enriched for having watched that game last night, it was a great experience and i will remember this match for a few years with a smile.

DISCLAIMER
All the above is meant to be my opinion without taking in account any betting activities, or monetary interests.

I did not have NE, i did in running betting with betfair and won 250 euros, through selling short and buying high, but had equal gains under both outcomes.

Thanks for reading

That is a great movie. Speaking of Troy, thanks to Troy Brown
for another Patriots playoff win.
I think that just might be the biggest play of the weekend.

Does anyone relate to the initial post ?? Am i among the minority?
Maybe it was a mediocre match ? Have we lost our love for the game and only care about who covers ATS ?

Andy, no doubt about it. Was a terrefic contest.

But, we have seen the Patriots do this so many times in the last 5 years, we might just be a little numb to it now.

The Chicago game was the best to me.

I really liked the anology between the movie and game.

To me both are great entertainment.

Had very little wagered and would have enjoyed it as much anyway.

No Andy. You are not alone. It was a great game. And I've got nothing but kudos for any non-American who takes the time to appreciate this great game of ours.

For me, the joy of the game always supercedes wagers. But I think I am in the minority amongst gamblers. But there seems to be several posters here who are still in love with the games first.

As far as the Pats-Chargers game, I am having a difficult time dealing with it as the Chargers are my second favorite team. The Bears are my favorite team and their game was very exciting. But I still don't think "my" Bears can win the Super Bowl and will have to get lucky to even get there. But the Chargers...I thought they had a great chance to win the whole thing. And to lose the way they did has been difficult to deal with from a sports point of view.

But the best example of degenerate gamblers was following the Boise St.-Oklahoma game. There were several people so distraught over their financial loss to even comprehend what a wonderful sporting event that they just witnessed. To be fair, and why I love this site, there were also several people who had lost money, but still enjoyed the greatness of "the game". I was just shocked at how many angry people there were. Maybe a few had Oklahoma to finish huge parlays, but my guess is most of them bet way too much on individual games.

SSI has got me thinking about "legalized" gambling instead of illegal gambling. And one of the main reasons would be to watch and enjoy sports for the games only....

good stuff barney

Its true that losing a lot on a game can deter from enjoying it fully, but then again no one should be betting unconfortable ammounts
