I have worn my Authentic McAllister jersey during two games now.

The first game was when I went to the Ravens game earlier this year we suffer our biggest defeat of the season .

I have been gunshy about wearing that jersey ever since.

I had a few people over to my house to watch the game this past weekend. The score was 3-0 when one of my house guests asked why I wasn't wearing a jersey to support my team. So I decided to break it out for the second time this year. What followed was a 21-10 point run by the Eagles. After the long run by Westbrook for a TD to start the 3rd, I decided to take off the jersey in case I was the reason for the Saints lull.

Right after I got rid of the jersey, our team turned it around and won the game. So here's my question: What should I do for next weekend's game? I there any kind of ceremony or procedure to exercise the bad ju-ju out of my jersey? Should I not risk it and just leave the jersey in the closet?

This is potentially a tragic situation. I paid good money for this jersey, but I can afford to jinx my boys.

I too paid good money for a SD Padre jersey right before the MLB playoffs so let me propose a loan to change the bad luck...I'll trade you my Padres jersey for your Saints jersey and I'll return it after the Saints win the Super Bowl...lol

Dont wear it. Sports mojo is HUGE!!!!!!!

I have the ultimate sports mojo for you guys. I was a big Mets fan back in 1986. I thought Strawberry was a KING. So now fast forward to game 6 of the world series. I was 10 or 11 years old at the time. I was bent as fuck witnessing the Mets about to lose the World Series to the hated Red Sox. So I am watching the last innings of the game just stewing on my own anger and depression. Then my mom notices me all upset and realized I never cleaned my room so she tells me that if I go clean my room real quick (pick up the toys and shit off the floor) that the Mets will come back and win. I procedded to go upstairs and clean up my room while mumbling curse words underneath my breath. So 5-7 minutes later after I cleaned up my room, I plop back down in front of the TV and witnessed the ball go trough Buckner's legs. I turned and looked at mom as if she was Jesus Christ in the flesh and she smiled and said "I told you so" without a second thought.

Still to this date I believe it was a little more then coincidence that those chain of events took place back in 86. I feel just as strong with the Saints this year. I lost my father earlier this year and I believe in my heart he is up in heaven negotiating with the Angels for a Saints Super Bowl run.

PLEASE BURY THE DEUCE JERSEY!!!!!!!

Is selling it on EBAY a problem?
Would the voodoo, transfer to the new owner?

I would hate to sell this cursed jersey to a fellow Saints fan, and every time he or she wears it, they put the jinx on.

I paid over $100 bucks for this jersey and only wore it twice. This is a real jersey authentic as the ones the players wear in the games.

Wearing a jersey in your house has zero to do with performance on the field.

I really don't understand superstitions.

Just hedge your bet. Throw like a G on the Bears moneyline and confuse the football gods. (I did it when the white sox won the world series. After the lost game 1 to the angels I bet $50 against the white sox on the remaining 8 games and they never lost)

Oh yeah burn the Jersey and replace it with a Deuce jersey with the superbowl patch.

I like the last part, but would never consider the first part.

I do agree that what we as fans wear does not affect the outcome of a game. HowEVER! I have had the same problem in the past as well. If you have gear from your fav team that was purchased in a losing season you may be ok wearing that, otherwise I would put Dueces jersy up until after the SB win then try to get it signed, frame it and tell everyone you saved the season. Maybe you should put a paper bag on you head duing the game,It couldn't hurt and would make me fell better about my play.

It does not, but you might just fool someone if you keep spelling 'advice' as 'advise'.

Before you read this dont look at my location...... Yes I definitely think you should wear the jersey. You paid top $$ for that jersey and if you think you guys will lose because of that, you are insane. Now be a true fan have some faith and wear the jersey!

Wear it. 3rd time's a charm, as they say, whoever they are.

On a side note, GL to your team this week. As as long time and pretty much long suffering fan of the Bucs, I kind of feel a kinship. Both franchises have had little success in their entire existence. To have your team finally challenge for the top is a great feeling. I also have had some great experinces in NO the few times I've been, and the people have been great. Had a handful of Saints fans buy my wife and me more beers than we could handle after a Buc loss. I gladly returned the favor the next year for a Saints loss. :drink:
