Really dumb question about banks

Were the banks closed on MLK day or not?

I know they probably were, because I have a NETELLER deposit that I requested on friday, and it still has not hit my bank.

Thats unusual with my bank. Thats 4 days. Its after midnight over here, and it still does not show.

Electronic deposits should not matter, even if the banks are closed right?

Yes, the banks were closed today, also the federal gov't. and post offices. Transactions will go through today.

all the transactions probably take place at the opening of business 9AM in most cases.

no sweat fed clearing house was closed today and that controls all electronic transfers and wires...should hit tomorrow....dont know about the future...............

Submitted my EFT's Sunday afternoon...........transactions completed a few minutes ago.

That took less than 48 hours, which is very quick considering the SUNDAY submission and yesterday being MLK day.
