What a shame......I loved this guy all season.

Talks about class? Is doing the sack dance classy when Merriman does it.
Pats are about as classy as it gets and to cry about it coming from the top is even more laughable.

FU LT.

The game was over. Let them dance. They earned the right. The Pats did not disrespect them, they won the game and celebrated on the field. If LT wants to get angry, then get angry at the defense which allowed the Pats to come back in the 4th quarter.

Quick question... I think LT is one of the classiest guys in the NFL... But you can in no way call the Pats classy they are far from it. And LT is right it starts at the top... Bellicheck not shaking Mangini's hand and not exchanging game film with him. And the Patriots don't need to mock anyone even if it is obnoxious. If Merriman is classless for the dance the Patriots are even more classless for mocking it. Be the bigger man and understand you just beat a team you weren't suppose to beat BUT act like you have won before. The Patriots are suppose to be the winners of the NFL and when they win they rub it in someones face? Have you guys ever played a huge game I know I played in my state semi's for baseball and after the game the kid that beat us walked by our bench and started laughing and saying how we were the most overrated team in the state. Two of our best players walked out of the dugout got in his face before the umpires and other players had to break it up. THESE TWO KIDS PLAY AT FLORIDA STATE AND THE YANKEES farm system. You just don't do that it is a classless act to show up a team after you win. YOU WIN WITH PRIDE and you act like you have done it before and you respect your opponent. The Chargers are right you can celebrate all you want during a game but when it is all said and done you go over and shake there hands and give them the respect that winners give. Why is it OK for the Patriots to dance on the logo and mock an opposing player yet when Miami did it this site was in uproar. If you guys don't recognize that the Pats are classless then IDK what to tell you. But Bellicheck is not a classy man but hey he wins football games. LT is a class act and I HATE THE CHARGERS haha, but I recognize that this guy is firery on game day and when he looses it hurts, but 99.999999% of the time he goes over and shakes the oppositions hand but this time they crossed the line and I agree with him. I am just saying this reminded me so much of my high school playoff game you just don't do that. You win with respect and you lose with it.

i guess having a shirt that says Raiders sucks is all class.

now should we even get into all the arrests the chargers players have had this year? from dui's, to selling meds and illegal shoes.

Yeah so does that make every sports fan that wheres a shirt like that classless? A shirt doesn't make you classless... It is all good in fun and games... IDK I really don't understand to CLASS of the Patriots and the classless LT... As everything I said in the long section seems to make a hell of a lot more sense to me...

Just saying if you have ever played in a game of that magnitude and lost then were disrespected afterwards... anyone that is competitive would be pissed...

what i like about LT is that he doesnt change hos opinion when all of the press is harping on him about going off in the game. he could've easily backed out of it today and retreated from what he originally said, but he was concrete again today on what he thought and didn't take the easy way out. i applaud him for that.

well here is where most of it stems from. guess LT has a short memory

After thumping the Pats by the score of 41-17 and shattering the team's 21-game home winning streak, the Chargers were not exactly humble.
"That's a [butt]-whipping," said defensive coordinator Wade Phillips in an article penned by Tom Curran, who at the time wrote for the Providence Journal and who now works for NBCSports.com.
Cornerback Drayton Florence (or is it Florence Drayton?) was less tactful: "F--k New England and their team," he said, before turning to a "collection of onlookers" and adding: "Get the look of shock off your faces. Don't be shocked. We beat your [butt]."
So, you know, maybe a few of the Pats were remembering the way that the Chargers handled themselves in 2005.
And if L.T. is going to get bent out of shape because his opponents do this kind of stuff, we'd like to hear what he's been doing to persuade his teammates not to act that way, either.

I applaud him for standing up to Bellicheck and finally say what 99% of the NFL has been thinking for a long time that the guy is a Classless punk. DO YOU GUYS REMEMBER how when the Jets beat the Pats he refused to shake hands with Mangini after first not trading tape with him and refusing to acknowledge that he existed. Then when he beat the Jets in the playoffs he was glad to shake his hand after the game... THANK YOU LET for pointing out what everyone has wanted to say for a long time THE PATRIOTS are running a CLASSLESS organization but does it matter they win? I wouldn't mind my team running one if we win but I am just saying you can in no way call LT classless and the Pats classy they are extreme opposites as LT is a classy humble down to earth athlete because he wasn't a star his whole life. And I can G'Tee if LT would have won that game he would have gone over and congratulated every Patriot and would not have mocked htem if they were the original team to do the Merriman dance... This is just my opinion but history does back it up...

Tesco THIS IS THE NFL haha you think LT's teammates are going to listen to him when he says guys lets be a little nicer... YOU HAVE yet to put something meaningful up there about LT being a punk after winning... I am still waiting so far everything you have put up has bashed the Chargers who i hate... so I kind of enjoy it... but LT can't tell his teammates and coaches to be nicer... are you serious man

Also the Chargers didn't even play the Patriots in the regular season this year! So what is that article two years old...

All I am saying is The Pats are classless and have a history of being it from the top... and LT are one of the few good men in the NFL

But what is this 5th grade... THey were mean to us so we have to do it back... If the Pats were such a classy organization they would not have mocked the classless Chargers that is the point I am trying to get across. I am not arguing that the Chargers are classy but LT is... And LT is not one of the classless guys on the Chargers... But if the Pats were so classy they would have been bigger then the Chargers and walked over and shook there hands... The Pats are suppose to lead the NFL and there act was just plane shitty... I g'tee if the Chargers won that game LT would have shook hands with the Pats and congratulated them in the Post game news conference that is all I am saying...

it will be noted that anytime someone beats San Diego in the future they are to run to their locker room with their heads down immidately following the final play. They are not allowed to smile.

Otherwise they might offend the fragile sensibilities of LT and cause further whining like a little kid

themanej2001 you are one of the most biased posters on this board, as well as thick-headed!! Once you have your theory or idea or belief, whether it be your records, what you post as a play, racism, or now this LT fiasco, you stick to it and don't see things from different angles. You are so young!

As you grow older I hope you learn to look at things from other perspectives young man.

HEY PATRIOTS FAN haha... they could smile they could even celebrate in a conventional way on there sidelines... But don't mock the team you just beat that is Classless... IDK how you are acting like this isn't true... If the Chargers won and all put on cut off sweat shirts and started dancing in the center of the Pats field would you say that it is what classless? YES YOU WOULD so stop being biased haha jesus... This is not high school you should act like a professional and as I have said 100 times act like you have been there before.

It is comical that people here proclaim LT as one of the good guys. Do you know him personally? You only know him from what you hear from the media, which quite often gets things very wrong.

He was very disappointed because his team lost. He ranted a bit about the Pats celebration because he was upset. Do you really think he cared about them mocking Merriman's dance? He was upset and disappointed and needed to vent. No one should be called out for celebrating a victory. You can win and be humble or you can win and be excited. I would probably be excited.

I am looking at it from another perspective... I played competitive sports at a very high level for all of my life. I have been in nationals 4 times in my life and I understand as a professional you should be classy and act like you have won before. Since you are 5 years old you are told to respect the opponent whether they respect you or not. You are told that whether you win or lose you shake your opponents hand and you show them respect. I am basing my opinion on this... I don't see another side to this story IMO... I have had more tough loses in my life then probably a lot of pro athletes because they are used to winning all there lives... We came in second in nationals twice, 3rd in state two years in a row, 4ht in the juniors world baseball classic... You don't understand my coaches preached to us after every game YOU RESPECT your opponent and no matter what happens you RESPECT them... I got beaned on purpose, cleated, hell I have been punched on the basepaths sliding into a base but at the end of every game win or lose we showed the same respect and acted like we had won and lost a million times. That is what sports is about.. it isn't about showing up your opponent. I am not agreeing with what the Chargers did but LT is not apart of that. We had weak links on all of our teams but that didn't mean our whole tema was bad.
