Best back by all accounts in the draft.

Many mock drafts & experts claim he could fall as far 8 to the Houston Texans. Which of course would jump out their shoes to attempt to make up for the Bush oversight.

I think he is more of a sure thing than these QB's

???what do you guys think

I have seen a draft that had him going 3rd to Browns.

You have to have concerns about his injury history. As great as he is, it's hard to invest that much $$$ to someone spending substantial amount of time in the training room.

No way the Texans will touch him if he falls.

First off, Mario Williams was the right choice for their club last year. They are building toward the future and a QB or RB were not at all logical. They should have traded down to 3 and got him but he was the right guy.

Kubiak comes from Denver and he's smart enough to realize what 99% of fans and 75% of GMs don't and that is with the right line and blocking schemes, any RB can be a success. Look at how many 1000 yard rushers he had in Denver... look at how many 100 yard performances he had the Texans put in this year with any scrap heap RB they put in there.

RBs are a waste of a draft pick. He needs a guy that can protect Carr who gets killed year in and year out. I'm hoping they trade up to get Joe Thomas. Their defense has some exciting young players but is on the field far too much to have success. With Thomas, you'd have better pass protection and the running game is already in place.

Ball control offense will help the defense excel.

Texans will be in the playoffs within a year if they work on their pass protection.

And as always, that's just my opinion. Won't be the first time people disagree with me about it (yea you JMAN haha) but if you look back, it's historically accurate.

i think the texans front office, due to the passing over of bush and young they will go after an offensive piece to try and hope it pleases some of their fanbase

I just can't see em doing that considering Kubiak's philosophy. They have stuck with David Carr this long and Kubiak has said that protecting him is a priority. The guy is labeled a bust but year in and year out has the worst protection in the league. Peyton Manning would be a bust if he got taken by Houston because you basically have a second to throw or you're sacked. Kubiak is a smart dude and even though the fanbase wants skill players, the franchise has shown the last few years that they are more interested in planning longterm to win than to please their fanbase.

Texans need to wait a year on the O line and get MICHAEL OHER. Kid might be the best tackle since Ogden.

speaking of Ogden the Ravens need to take a note from the Patriots and draft a RB with their 1st round pick....

Bush from Louisville should be around that spot coming off his injury...

Jamal is all but gone from the Ravens.

I don't think Peterson would have made the Raiders any better. They have passable RB's and a slowly evolving QB. I'm not sold on Russell, belive me... but he's not as bad as last year and I take that to mean he's evolving. I'll give him a grade in 2010
