heard this as well

Would be nice to seem some recently retired players get a chance to coach, similiar to what the NBA with Avery Johnson did.

why not? players probably connect better , along with the fact the coach understands the new rules/plays better

Chargers WR coach, James Lofton. His WR's did so well this week the Raiders had to hire him. Great hire that will guarantee the Chargers 2 more wins next yr no matter who our coach is. Lofton was a nice hire on the cheap to fit the minority bill. Classy guy with nice credentials, but no head coaching experience.

I heard Lester Hayes was not available so Davis said "get me Lofton".

Just can't believe the moves Oakland is making!

i was pondering that earlier. how come wr's dont become head coaches more often?

good thing the raiders are grabbing him now before anyone else does. tomlin, wisenhunt, rivera are mentioned for every job but i guess nobody has thought outside the box yet and hired a man with no coordinator experience.

Sad thing is Ron Rivera really wants the job. His family is from the area, and his wife owns a travel agency there. Looks like Al Davis is going the cheap way again.
