This Laker team seems to be legit... They keep winning even without 2 of there starters... Give this team a few years with development of there young guys and they could be a contender...

Kobe is doign it all this year - Scoring, defending and making everyone around him better...

Dirk has my vote. I thought he should of had it last year, too.

Nash's stats are over-rated. Put Nash on Portland and he doesn't finish in the top 5 for voting. He's a product of the talent surrounding him.

Put Dirk on any team, and he'll drop 30 a night still.

If Kobe can average 35 points a game, drop 81 and be all nba first team and 1st team defense and only finish 4th in MVP voting then the chances of him being voted MVP are slim to none unless the lakers can finish on top of the west.... This year gilbert throws together some big games and people act like they've never seen scoring before.

I know Koby is a jerk, a little strange, and a loner...but he is so talented it is scary.
