I would think a large number of gamblers are going to be surprised on Sunday night/Monday trying to request withdrawals after the game since there is a 2 week break for the SB.

There should be another larger % figuring this out the week leading up to the SB just trying to deposit for the game and props.

It might be a good idea to keep the neteller posts as a sticky because I expect to see new threads daily for awhile.

I have emailed all my clients the details of the recent events. Not one had any clue as to what was going on and they all made a tidy sum the last few years through my association with them.

I'm sure there are a lot that bet SB, then are inactive for periods, bet WS, and NBA championship, stuff like that.

Those from the US, it looks like wagering online for them is near the end.
For everyone else, nothing really has changed.

One bright light that those from the US can look forward to, is if somewhere down the road, after the US has blocked all it's players from wagering/funding books offshore, they decide to give licenses to Vegas operators to start up online gambling that the US government can monitor/tax/keep being big brother.

If this doesnt happen ... on-line wagering for US players is as good as gone.

Oh yes...panic will set in on Superbowl weekend. Probably as late as that Sunday morning when the casual bettor logs in and attempts Neteller deposit to great dismay. And then they'll try Echeck. Not Available.

Shit many will log attempt to get to Pinnacle and find themselves lost.

Yes SuperBowl weekend will wake up all the rest of America who has had blinders on the past 2-4 weeks.

There aren't 1% of bettors on-line (that are aware enough to have an off-shore account and use neteller in the past) that will be suprised after this weekend at the latest that things have changed drastically.
Hell, if all you were going to do is bet the super bowl I could go into any bar in town and get vig-Bonus Bet on side or total within 5 minutes for however much I wanted on SB weekend.

They would offer parlays only and pay 4-1 for 3, 8-1 for 4 at best. if they offered staright bet at allit would be 15% and some how through government mismanagement and graft they would still lose money!

They could let Harrah's ( or other Vegas place) go national, if the tax was within reason.

Sounds similar to what Canadian can do now with the lottery. It's called Pro-Line. 95% of the time they offer VERY BAD LINES. The other draw back is you have to play 3-6 teams.

We are closer to the US in having some sort of leagalized online gambling, as the horse racing folks want to get into the game. They are suggesting the government allow them to plkay on the same playing field as the online sites, as to offer better odds, rebates, etc.

If the shit hits the fan and somehow the Canadian government follows the US's lead (hope/really don't see it happening as we still tend to lean towards the English way of thinking when it comes to gambling) then I would love to see us to that way.

Plus we already have several gambling sites that reside on Native soil.

Thank god I'm Canadian! :103631605

I would say that around 30% of internet gamblers know about this turn of events. Neteller did send emails out to all of their clients

I would be surprised if 10% know. I personally know 2, and will not tell the ones who I put pending futures in for.

I know a guy who bets a dime or so a game and uses offshore, yet had no idea about neteller or Pinny.

Thanks to whoever it was on here that broke the Neteller story!
