I think there were many astute players who began positioning themselves for this eventuality as soon as anti-gambling legislation was seriously considered. If they thought farther ahead than I did, they may have even started learning to cap european sports.
None of that matters so much for major sports bettors, but for people that find leverage on smaller american sports there is really no replacement. On the positive side, there will be much less competition when the dust clears.
