Some of you are more than others. Some of you guys need to get a life outside of gambling and this forum. Some of you people will be helped more than you would ever know by what is going on the last couple of weeks. You cannot tell me that there isn't atleast 20% here that need help with a gambling adiction. You can''t tell me you're family will not benefit from the new laws. You will be spending more time with the kids. Not looking at every damn TV that you walk past. Not looking at the phone or pager.

Out of all these people that post on theRX you cannot tell me that some have never lost the rent money or money to feed the kids. Gambling is meant to be fun. Not to take over the normal everyday things that you need to do for the family.

This does not mean I am happy with this new law. I am actuallt pretty pissed off from this. This is not the Republican party that I know. They are for smaller gov, lower taxes, let people find thier own way in life. This is not what is happening today. Today it seems like the line between parties has been elimanated. Who is there to stand up for the middle of the road people that just want to work, not get taxed to death, and have some fun in life.

Nothing is taught until it's learnt.
To have a choice is a good thing, even if it means getting it wrong sometimes, it will help some people, but they will likely be depressed, or find a way round or another addiction. If the govt. doesnt have faith in their citizens to conduct their lifes, why should they think they are gonna do better for you, and also, why should YOU have faith in them.

2008 can;t come soon enough and I too thought republicans were for less goverment.

I've always voted leaning to the left as a union member but now I will not even mull over the candidates i will vote with blinders on.

When i was young I gambled,but I also drank,partied,snorted drugs,frequented bars,chased woman and went to work.

Hung out with my friends,had roomate after roomate and visited faimly regularly.

Pretty much an all amerian kid and gambled at the track,Tahoe and poker games in the garage but wasn;t an every day thing except for maybe the track in spurts but would still go out that night.

Now it;s everyday and night one way or another.If all this was avaliable to me back then it woud be a wonder how I would of ever found a gal to marry me?

Next generation has alot to over come.

As technology has advanced.... so have my capping skills and my bankroll.

I've come along way since sitting in the library at college in the early 90's picking my games from the USA Today using the Sagarin ratings........ughhhhh.

Many of us make a profit gambling - the loss of Pinnacle and Neteller is devastating but not crippling - we will see how it plays out - I would imagine some outside of the US will take their places.

And anyone who thinks this would have happened during the Clinton adminstration lives in a dream world.
